Why would North have to change colours/jumpers if they relocated to the Gold Coast?
Surely they could have kept the same jumpers and still called themselves the Kangaroos.

I think we were afraid that the exactly the same thing that happened to Fitzroy would happen to us, and abandoning what we have in Melbourne would just seem ridiculous.

Found this on Wiki re: numbers on backs in the NRL.

Between 1998–2001, Melbourne was the only club to display player names on the back of jerseys. This was because there was no major sponsor for the Storm to display on the chest or back at the time. In 2001, Melbourne gained its first major sponsor in Adecco, and was displayed on the jersey chest, while maintaining the players names on the back until the end of 2001. In 2002, the Storm removed the player's names and displayed Adecco's logo on the back.

I know there it's in the UTT, but does anyone know the name of the font the AFL uses for it's numbers? I'm making photoshop templates which are pretty big and the numbers in the UTT come up minuscule, compared to the jumper itself.

I'm almost certain it's a custom font.

Try using this website to find a font that's at least pretty similar.

Actually I have two paint files for both solid and outlined numbers if that interests you. No AFL logos though

It's a custom variation of Helvetica, basically. To steal a Mero idea, go to http://www.ebooks.geongroup.com/sekem/AFL/Index.aspx, download page 2 as a pdf then open it up with Pshop. Not sure how well Pshop can use PDFs but I know it can open them to some degree. Failing that, zoom in to the page on the site and screenshot away!

So how do these awards things work? Why aren't there different categories:

2012 FJAGD Einstein Award - for most knowledgable poster
2012 FJAGD Picasso Award - great design ideas, not always the best execution
2012 FJAGD Rising Star Award - for best young talent (best new user)
2012 FJAGD Fair Dinkum Award - Bestest and Fairest (user who puts a lot of time into this board, running comps, entering comps, joining in discussions, etc. never been carded. can be decided by mods)

etc. could also be named after users on here.

And why do you have two awards for the same thing? Almost 90% of Fair Dinkum winners are eligible for Best Young Talent as well.
