Do you mean why the blue looks light and the Gold looks dark in a B&W photo?
That's a trick of the light.
To get that effect, you need to use a flash in a dark room (presumably the change rooms), and the gold needs needs to be wet, presumably from sweat or rain.
I've seen Footscray photos where the Red looks darker than the Blue, and vice versa.
Fitzroy is another were sometimes one of the Maroon and Blue looks darker than the other, and then other times the reverse happens.
It's just we think of Gold being lighter than Blue.
In this case, when converted to shades of Grey for B&W, the Gold reflected less light, which is what causes the darkening.

Does anyone know what program I can use on a mac that is like Paintshop or something similar?

Nah I don't :( and it's really expensive... Do you know of any other programs?
Photoshop (and perhaps Illustrator) are worth buying if you have some artistic talent, an interest in graphic design, and/or would like to pursue a career in graphic design. It's cheaper to buy if you're a student.

Alternatively, there is Paintbrush - a program for Macs similar to Paint but it's a rather crappy version of it and I wouldn't particularly recommend it, unless you're absolutely desperate.

Thanks for that :) I might try Paintbrush first and see how I go.

Photoshop looks like something I'd have fun with but I'm not really serious about design, just like doing the odd logo or footy jumper. :)

Is that a program you download?

Basically just want it to do guernsey designs :footy:
Paint.net. Exactly the same as paint except:
- It uses layers
- It has a magic wand selection tool
- Can deal with overlays i.e guernsey pattern

After thinking about it, it's really not the same as paint.

It's free and produces good work.

I made this in paint.net

The ladder here http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/the-acffl-ladder-results.972596/
suggests a top 5 system, this is how it'll be played out

Elimination Final: 4TH v 5TH
Qualifying Final: 2ND V 3RD

1st Semi: Loser of Qual v Winner of Elim
2nd Semi: 1ST vs Winner of Qual

Preliminary: Loser of 2nd Semi v Winner of 1st Semi

Group final: Winner of 2nd Semi v Winner of Preliminary

Grand Final: Winner of Group A Final v Winner of Group B Final

Or if it's too long, go for top 4 knockouts

Can someone PLEASE tell me what font is used for the scoreboard at the Dome and what font was used for the Fox Footy scorebug in 2007?

It's been frustrating me.

The Dome's scoreboard.

This last one's a bit scratchy.

The Fox Sports AFL scoreboard from 2005-07.
