As a tennis fanatic and student without enough money to currently get foxtel, I'm curious about the tennis coverage of the men's game throughout the season, as foxtel is something I would definitely consider for the future.

How much of the following events can I expect to see on foxtel?

- Aust Open (compared to free to air)

- French Open

- Wimbledon (compared to free to air)

- US Open

- All of the masters events

- Masters Cup

also what channel will I need, and is that one of the channels that automatically comes with getting foxtel? (i obviously know little about pay tv)

Aus Open - 2 channels showing matches live from Margaret Court arena, Show Court 2 & 3 as well as replays from RLA and Hisense after the matches have been played.

French Open - 1 channel showing matches live when they are on, then replays for the rest of the time. I think the 1 channel is French Open 24 hours a day.

Wimbledon - I can't remember, but they do show matches. I think they also have 1 channel 24 hours a day just for Wimbledon during the championships.

US Open - Same deal as the French Open.

Masters Events - They show all Masters Events, with live matches and replays included.

Full coverage of the Masters Cup.

If you like your tennis, Foxtel is a must.

You need to get the sports channel package on top of the basic package. Costs about $55 a month.

What disappoints me is that there is no court selector, say like the English Premier League on a Saturday night, where on one channel, say Fox Sports 3, you can choose between 5 different matches.

That's how all sport should be, such as tennis, soccer, US sports, the Olympics etc.

fox is great for the tennis, although annoyingly they do not cover the business end of the aus open and wimbledon and 7 and 9 take over
