Whats the point of this thing?? Twice in the 3rd on saturday your lot scored a goal to bring you back closer to the game. Now when you did this, the tiges fans around me all looked up to the scoreboard in hushed (and i mean hushed) expectation. Then just as the bounce was restarting the game the roar meter appeared and the tiges fans started to cheer along with it. Firstly why? The previous cheer for the goal had already taken place, 2nd while doing this, twice the Hawks responed with quick clearances and goals that seemed to make it (the response to the roar meter) redundant in the extreme.
I thought (in past years) one of the things i truly HATED about the tiges was their ability to really REALLY yell and cheer for their team whenever a run on was happening. This wasnt an artificial thing, it was soemthing when they got a bit of a run on, they could lift their side through continious and LOUD support.
With this 'americanised, sanitised' Roar meter?? It just didnt seem to do anything at all, except dilute when its purpose is to do the complete opposite.
So, question, why the hell is it their and do you think its a good idea or just another stupid marketing tool dreamed up from some tool in marketing???
Cheers
