It goes without saying there are many ambiguous posters on this board. I'm talking about the ones who want the top draft picks but then get on their high horse about match ups, strategy etc when Terry is obviously in experimental mode, with an eye to the future. Now it's time for us to make up our minds:thumbsu:

In my wisdom I decided that a bigfooty poll was the only way to get a definitive answer on the topic;)

Simple question really should the Tigers play out the rest of the season with:
(a) an eye for the future; or
(b) to win every possible game and move as high up the ladder as possible.

play the kids and tank,

i know wallace can coach so whilst i'll admit i get fired up at the time when we could win games, im happier to keep developing the youngins and giving us every opportunity to rape the drafts at seasons end

i'm in the same boat tony

for example the Raines on Riewoldt matchup beggared belief during the Saints game, but when I had returned to sobriety and also logical thinking I knew exactly what Terry's game was:thumbsu:;)

If only we'd won only 4 games last year we'd be the ones getting the priority pick this year. We probably would have had 1,2,3!!!!

Play the kids to get more games into them. Lets see who can cut it and who can't. I want the draft picks and dont mind losing (as much) if we're playing kids. It's when we play kingsley, krak and other players who arent going to be part of the future in 2010+ that irks me.

GIVE HUGHES A GO, WALLACE U NUM NUT!

Play the kids... this is not tanking anyway!
Playing KKK etc would be more an act of tossing in the white one!

16th, and play some good footy......or what's the point of us supporters rocking up every week?

And btw....grab the kids for 2008......but this bottom out and grab the kids BS will NOT be acceptable in 2009 onwards.

Sooner or later we've gotta win some games.
Otherwise we'll become a footballing kindergarten for bad footballers.

Surely by mid 2009, we'll have some sort of team that can win regularly....?

Cheers

you are just kidding yourselves to clock up games and the young drafts will magically get better. they need work and there is no way around that.

16th please. Three picks inside the top 20 and won't have to trade a brass razoo to get them.
Sadly, I agree :(

YES, play him every game for the remainder of the year, PLEASE!!!!!!

Play with sole focus on the future, if we happen to jag a win or 2 along the way then fine. But they really should not be trying to screw up the chance to go after 3-4 of the best kids in the draft.

For too long we have chased the quick fix trying to apease impatient fans, all that has done is seen us go round and round from one rebuild to the next. Wallace should at least be given the 5 years to rebuild the list. If by then we are still sitting at the bottom of the ladder then piss him off, if however we are starting to show signs of getting it right then we move forward with him as the coach. Either way the next 2-4 years in the most important in the history of the Richmond Football Club, get it right and we are on our way, get it wrong and we may as well close up the place and sell the license back to the AFL.

I thought to myself the other day, would I prefer to come last in '04 over again and get Deledio or let the Hawks get him and get pick 2 (probably Tambling).

I think most people would come to the same conclusion as me and this time around, unlike 2004, I wouldn't mind coming last.

4 rules for the rest of the year:

  1. Don't worry about draft picks
  2. Don't worry about ladder position
  3. Only play players that figure as part of our future
  4. Play each game to win

Stuff this crystal ball gazing, stuff this ladder position manouvering and most of all **** this wishing for a wooden spoon.

As much as it hurts we are much better off playing the kids and getting pick 1 or 2 and the priority pick and get some serious talent rather then another JON.

We will be much better off in the long run, and thats a fact
