The Master cometh!

Really been looking forward to this Quigley, and thankyou for taking all of this time and effort for us.

Question: Would you consider Temay a Swans style prospect at either 23 or 45, or is that outside of his range (either overreaching or won't fall that far)

I think 23 would be overpaying. 45 is about where I could see him going and I think it could go either way about whether he is there or not.

Port just needs quality across the park, so not sure they can be fussy with regards to players.

Thankyou for your contribution, I appreciate your superior knowledge of Port Adelaide's list.

Not a fan of North's 1st selection, The last thing we need is another HBF, its our most solid position on the park. I'd be shattered if we passed on a pure mid for a flanker type. But the rest I'd be pretty happy with.

Your write up's are exceptional once again, and finally I've found someone who doesn't jizz over Garner (I had him going in the top 20) I think he is the most overrated player in this draft.

Like the right up though I don't see the Dogs picking up any of the first three.
The Jack Frost selection I do like however.

Mayes hasn't gotten any press for you guys but I would not rule him out. The other two though I concede are unlikely to go where I have them.

There is a fair chance that Garlett might be there when you pick at 22 and if so I think you guys would take him. Similarly if Plowman was there at 22 (he won't be I acknowledge) I would be shocked if you didn't take him.

Where would you place Taylor Hine and Ben Jacobs in this draft?

Honestly I have not paid attention to Hine this year and couldn't really give you much of an idea. He was talented as a junior but has not set the world on fire at GC and they didn't seem to be that worried about him leaving. So I don't know about that one.

Jacobs I had in the 30s in his draft year and I probably think less of him now. Personally if I was going to grab him and I was Essendon I would use one of my two picks in the 50s.

thank you based god, been waiting for this

Just want to thank you for giving us the two you consider having the worst kicks in the draft this year. Much appreciated! :D :thumbsu:

Seriously though, love the effort you go to to give us really detailed descriptions of them all, it's brilliant. :thumbsu:

Not sure Pelchan will stand for us using two of our first 4 picks on anyone who kicks it badly though. It's highly skilled "lefties" all the way for him!

8. Brisbane Lions – Jesse Lonergan
30. Port Adelaide – Jackson Thurlow

I knew you wouldn't let me down :thumbsu:

Honestly, your write ups on players are awesome. Interested in your write up on Thurlow, I agreed with a lot of it. I have made myself a nuissance on a bunch of the phantom threads, arguing that I see Thurlow going a lot higher than consensus. So it's good to see a couple of the latest drafts putting him in a more reasonable spot. I have him going somewhere around 38.

Probably a bit harsh to judge his running ability on the back of that injury affected combine. I am sure with a proper build up to that combine, he could have done a lot better, not that he did badly at all. Being a distance runner myself, I know how difficult it feels to get back to your full fitness after even a slight injury like a rolled ankle. His prep for that combine was far from ideal, and having his hand in that cast would have been an annoyance for him when doing all the tests, particularly the agility and sprints. I am stoked that he even got there, and you are right that it showed good courage and ethic to even turn up. I am a massive fan, and would be over the moon if he goes at #30 to Port. Especially if he goes to Port, because I could see him breaking into the team next year.

Would rather see Lonergan slide to Collingwood, from a development viewpoint. But if he goes top 8, that would be great. Interesting that he got an invite to attend the draft, shows that he is very much in the mix to go pretty high.

Thoughts on Siggins? Is it a lack of agility and speed that you have not rated him as being selected? I have my doubts about him going also, but I'd like to see him have a shot at AFL.

Do you mention that you are from Tasmania in every post you make?
