Would reckon that his chances of a contract extension at the end of year are close to zero?

He broke his leg his leg earlier this year in the VFL.

Even if he makes a full recovery before the end of season, he'd probably need injuries to three of White, Grundy, Reid and Witts (heaven forbid ) to even be considered for senior selection.

After his injury nobody would have begrudged him if he'd just hung up the boots after a long and distinguished career (nearly all of it elsewhere).

And yet he remains involved at the club ... he's turning up to support the lads at both the VFL and the AFL games.

Good on him, this bloke deserves a toast

He is on 350k a year, the LEAST he can do is turn up to the VFL matches.

I don't see why turning up to the most important event of the week on 350k a year is a toast-able achievement personally. It's just meeting the bare minimum for me.

I would rather he kicked goals from 20 metres out.

I'll be remembering him as a bloke who kicked 65 goals in a premiership year. A shame he didnt play his best football with us but in 10-20 years non Magpie and Eagle fans will forget the stint he ever had with us, well most anyway.

Lynch was absolutely woeful in the AFL, I ain't going to toast him for turning up to his VFL matches on his very nice salary, be it 250k or 350k.

Just my opinion, I will never be a Lynch fan.
