The great man has passed on.
He knew The Soviet Union had to change and lead the way for people to at last speak more freely in his part of world and eventually lead the end of the Berlin Wall and The Iron Curtain.
Sorry to hear his passing. Over 90 years old is a good innings.

I remember him as the man with the tea stain on his head but also could recognise a truly great human being in our time. It sad what happening in Russia undoing a lot of his good work but it does not change the fact he was someone very special in political world in which most politicians are real cretins.

R.I.P Gorby

One of his last interviews I saw.

I was reflecting upon Gorby last night and how I have been lucky enough to visit eastern-Europe on many occasions, seen and experienced brilliant things and made many great friends, especially in Germany as a direct result of what this giant of a man accomplished.

Gorbachev was and is an icon. The world is a poorer place for his passing.

R.I.P. Mr Gorbachev. You won't see any opposition like we did in the 1980s, it is very doubtful the USA will ever have a peace-through-strength policy again. Not under Crazy Joe's watch.
The said thing was Mikhail Gorbachev didn't ge a state funeral.

Yet Ivan Milat asked for one lol
