I know its nothing to do with footy but i still going to post it.

Damn I liked Alec Guiness. Great GREAT actor. All those old Ealing studios stuff are still fantastic to watch The Lavender Hill Mob ,the Ladykillers,Kind hearts and coronets,The Man in the White Suit. ALso classis like Birdge on the river Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia. I know the youngsters may never have heard of these, but for blokes of my vintage who used to spend ALL their time watching sat/sunday movies in the 70's they will know them.

Ahh well, may the force be with him

From a confesed Star Wars junkie, this news has saddened me. Apart from Yoda, Obi-Wan was the most mythical of all the Star Wars characters (at least before we met him as a young man in Episode 1).

"Trust your feelings, Luke"

"You must do what you feel is right of course" - To Luke in" A New Hope"

"Strike me down, and I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine"

Perhaps, he is now "ONE" with the force.

The sad thing is how much he hated Star Wars before he passed on. I read some interviews last year and he seemed really bitter & twisted about it.

Anyone see the pics in the Sydney papers of Ewan McGregor, with his beard in full costume?

Grendel, yeah he was a true great. It was a bit different when there wasn't footy on morning noon and night all weekend. I used to look forward to sunday arvo and the old b&w classics.
