Wouldn't they be the same size as when they're inside?
School Ugh GIF

No mention of Draper.

I'm not sure if we can read much into that. My guess is it's going to be a bit of a week to week thing for awhile, doesn't mean they want to give updates every week.
He played a half. Maybe that implies he's not technically injured.

That would be brilliant.

My assumption is he's simply in the ramping up of load phase, which could take a while. I'm guessing in this period it would be normal to have set backs as he ramps things up.

It's really hard to say. Club haven't even really acknowledged what the real problem is.

He’s not injured

Full strength other than Keane Curtin and Hinge for round one. Peatling and Soli can have warm up in trial at Elizabeth that weekend.

Ah Chee Cumming Berry Thilthorpe all in.

Draper full game as well in sanfl

Just sounds conservative. Keane, Curtin and Hinge unavailable all things considered probably a good outcome.

Obviously Curtin and Keane pretty big outs.
But wouldn't expect Pies to be at full strength either.
They'll have some guys underdone like us.

Hinge seems a worry, they wont risk him.

Do we have a SANFL trial game this weekend?

Thilthorpe’s back is a worry. These cricket shenanigans are frustrating, despite me appreciating the vibes.

Sounds like most players will be available. I'd predict this round 1 side

B Michalanney - Butts - Murray
HB Laird - Worrell - Milera

R McAndrew - Dawson - Peatling
C Cumming - Soligo - Ah Chee

HF Rachele - Thilthorpe - Neal-Bullen
F Keays - Fogarty - Walker

I Berry - Pedlar - Cook - Jones - T. Murray

Not confident on those last three spots. I think Nankervis and Bond would also be in the mix

(This isn't the side I'd pick, it's a prediction of who we will pick)
How many underdone players can we afford to carry round 1... particularly in the midfield?

Cumming & Soligo very underdone... Peatling & Berry a little underdone.

Players getting close to a million a year shouldn't be playing cricket in the off season

All of them, our start is brutal and our midfield is weak

Injury update

Returning to main training this week
Isaac Cumming (hamstring)
Izak Rankine (hamstring)
Sam Berry (managed)
Jake Soligo (heart)
Callum Ah Chee (hamstring)

Returning to main training next week
James Peatling (hamstring)
Riley Thilthorpe (back)

Being monitored (sounds unlikely)
Mitch Hinge (back)

Longer term injuries
Dan Curtin (knee)
Mark Keane (leg)

Surely there’s an underlying reason why Berry is being ‘managed’. At this time of the year it can’t be general soreness or needing a breather.

There was obviously something very significant wrong with him in his last outing. In his previous outing, he was very good, in this one he looked much more incapable than a simple form drop.

Here are the predictions by AFL.com.au

Not many apparently missing for the Pies.

I can't see Cook missing myself & would be surprised if we go in with the extra tall.

Best case scenario if all the short term injured players come up.

B: Michaelanny, Butts, N Murray
HB: Bond, Worrell, Milera
C: Cumming, Dawson, Cook
HF: Ah Chee, Fogarty, Keays
F: Pedlar, Thilthorpe, Walker
R: McAndrew, Peatling, Rachele
I: Laird, Edwards, Soligo, Nankervis, ANB
E: T Murray, Berry, Marsh

Would be looking to use Soligo more off a wing & up forward till he comes up to speed. I'm picking Edwards over Berry as inside midfielder with more upside.

Yeah that was iconic as was ROOOO many years later. I used to love watching A. Jarman with such slick skills. His handball skills were sublime, but there were so many. Maynard, McGiness McDermot, Liptak. I could easily go on. The 90’s was a glorious era of footy
You could have stopped watching after 98, let’s be honest. Seen everything worth seeing. Live a peaceful life.

Howe will be extremely underdone if he does play, but is all class.

We just need to stop kicking the ball directly to Moore and we can get the W.

Moore out for Opening Round, only a chance to play R1.

Howe won’t play against us.
Would be funny if Moore misses against us given he was the instigator in Rankine's suspension...
