did anyone watch the game?
I just saw part of the last quarter.
St Kilda had significantly less possessions but won reasonably easily.

Playing a counter attacking game?

Not really - they pressured very well - caused NM to over handball and over use. Sweated on NM errors.
IMO worst game for skills played so far this weekend, and North were missing several key midfielders and key defenders. Saints pretty much at full strength (other than one's already known to out for round 1 ).

It looks like Witts will have absolute field day with hit outs against St Kilda Marshall. I just hope we can take advantage of it not like against Swans. If Wright can do it so can Witts.

McCartin another concussion. Also Roberton did not feel well after the game. I feel for these guys.

After all preseason injuries, much less depth for round 1.

Here is my best 22 but I feel Dew will play GHS for experience/leadership replacing Lukosius/Ah Chee/Powell (difficult decision)?

FB: Harbrow Collins Murdoch
HB: Hanley Hombsh Ballard
C: Weller Miller Martin
HF: Sexton Wright Lukosius
F: Macpherson Burgess Ainsworth
FOLL: Witts Swallow Fiorini
INT: Bowes, Ah Chee, Powell, Miles

EMER: Day, GHS, Joyce, Brodie

I'd love to know where Dew sees Ah Chee's best position.
Kicked 10 in 3 games 2 years ago and has spent most of his time in defence since.
Only 7 disposals yesterday and seems wasted down back.

Dew seems like to use Ah Chee as a defender of small forwards for his speed I guess. But yes, I would like to see him forward too especially now when Lemmens and most probably Rankine are out.

According to Haines in GC Bulletin article, Suns are open to play Ah Chee both forward and in defence, at the moment leaning towards defence for his closing speed, kick, decision making. Haines also mentions a lot of small forwards compete for spots. Ah Chee had some niggles but did bulk of preseason and is in a very happy place off field according to Haines.

Serious question - Will Brodie seemed to finish off 2018 really well - how come no games in JLT and not best 22 for R1????

Notice Brodie only got games later in the season when there was slim pickings in the 2s to choose from. - you're probably not aware but by R23 there was literally one senior listed player playing in the 2s (scrimshaw).
so it may be a case of the match comittee didnt think he'd earned his place then either but had no other reasonable options - obviously i dont know.

I take it first game for each new entrant to the league is excluded? or is it just a case of journalists making up SENsationalist headlines again?
