Make of it what you will but it’s absolutely wild that Dawson is the 3rd worst kick and Soligo the 8th worst kick in the entire competition 500+ players.

Probably comes down to them not being suited as inside players and poor kicking under pressure but still having a tendency to go for miraculous kicks, comparable to Nick Daicos.

They both started the season very well but for the last 4-5 weeks both their kicking have been horrible, even missing easy kicks when they are not under pressure.

I think Butts v Bond in the wet ( if it happens ) comes down to who you think the dangers will be out of cox , hill and McCeery , I think the latter 2 but can see the other opinion re not changing current structure

West debut would be interesting , especially if it’s wet . Be a tough debut for a 197cm forward to clunk marks in wet and torch us but it is possible and something we should consider

Crows dominate first but waste it with inaccuracy. Break even in second, but drop their bundle entirely in third to fall away. Dominate last but are inaccurate again.

Scores level with 60 seconds left. Keays ignores two open Crows in the goalsquare to blaze away with a snap that goes wide. Collingwood play on from the kick-in. Get a mark on the HBF and then a dubious fifty after a Crow fails to "stand". Collingwood goes for quick entry into F50. Crows have all the numbers, but Laird and Milera crash into eachother and manage to trip up Worrell. Pies walk it into the goalsquare and goal with 30 seconds left.

There's still hope, but ROB gives away a ruck infringement free at the bounce. Pies milk out the clock.

West is unlikely to debut.

Do you remember when it happened?
I'd love to go back and have a look.
(If only just to re confirm how cooked this league is 😵‍💫)
I saw it on Twitter.
Not as bad as I first thought. There's definitely a swing but he has his arm in between the opponents head & the ground. Lucky MF.

What a crap stat.

Dawson is down on his average quality this year, he has had a bad patch along with Soligo. In fact he has been around 8-9% "below his expected kick efficiency".

What is doesn't say is what his expected efficiency is.

This stat means that a player like Luke Ryan who is a good kick but nothing special is supposedly one of the best kicks in the AFL this season because he is about his expected efficiency.
