We can hope for a late out with Tex dropping out for Draper if the rain sets in. Would make too much sense so unlikely to happen.
AFL loves $ way more than fairnessIt should be mandated that if Victorian clubs want to sell off games to Tasmania, Ballarat etc then they have to play another Victorian club.
By sheer default of having so many Victorian based clubs they play in their home state more often, this would go some way to even that up not make it more uneven.
I like Curtin centre - forwardWhich in a way is disappointing because Curtin could play the same non-defensive run on role that Wayne does and we get much more future benefit with a better leg
McAndrew sub?Taller, taller!
True, and its a shame we almost never see the weird call at opening bounce anymore. Bergman in the middle last week really seemed to throw us off balance as it was so unexpected.
Doesn't have to be TT in the ruck, but something would be fun to see. Dawson at FF, Michalanney to Diacos in the middle, Tex on the wing. Just something to make the oppo scramble for 5 mins, and then scramble back when they revert to normal.

Bond flying over is a big watch. For me he's our best matchup for Daicos, particularly if the game slops out.
I can see Bond being a late in for a Tex or Curtin.
I hear that. It’s like arguing with a lynch mob
Amazingly with such poor coaching and selection this season we’ve sat inside the top 6 all season after 9 rounds, are the highest scoring team, are the best ball movement team, have a back 6 starting to get widespread praise and have neutrals excited to watch our games.
I am frequenting this board a lot less these days because it’s just so hard reading the same debates over and over and negativity even after a classic Showdown win!
The team is a Rankine free kick away from equal 1st after nearly half a season and yet this board reads like it’s still 2024. If anyone said we would be 6-3 after round 9 most would have been pretty happy with that result.

I wish he took that mark in the first few minutes last week, would have given him a boost I reckon, especially if he kicked the goal too. It's good to see Nankervis settled in on a wing.
Hopefully playing at the MCG, or wingers can see a bit more of the ball this week
Welsh and Bond flew over?
Id do it and take the fineWe should have named Bond as emergency for a late change

Matthew, is that you?Why would the opposition care about what we did for a couple of minutes? Ditto us to whatever unusual they do?
In a way, the league/coaches are not as naive as they were 30 years ago with this kind of stuff (and may have swung too far the other way where you may just never get a response to something). Nowdays you'd just back your system and everything you've drilled over the summer to beat whatever crazy thing they're doing. It would only potentially become a problem if it was working, but even then, you may just not care that it's working depending on who and what.
