I guarantee we will see a Laird appreciation post on the club's socials after he racks up 35 touches against the Eagles, while Dowling is left to rot in the SANFL.

Likewise Smith, while Curtin and Ryan are stuck copping abuse from the deadshits at Unley Oval.

I'll be having nightmares about this game even though I reckon we get away from them in the end.

If you're talking about the last game of the season in Perth, it was close until the last quarter when WC went full tank because they weren't going to let Harley Reid go after North gave them the gift of winning the day before. We were on holidays after being robbed against Sydney. Had WC already sewn up bottom (or North had), they would have beaten us I reckon.

The home game was Tex's 250th, and an absolute shellacking.

Should really just shut this thread down. We all know what will happen. Rankine out injured and one of Berry / Schoenberg to replace. McHenry will go into Rankine’s position and Murphy (who I hate to say with every fiber of my body) was fine for half the game yesterday and will stay. Clearly Curtin they will stick in the Magoos, Dowling will never play, and they would never dream of replacing Smith with Ryan. Goes against everything Nicks “stands for”.

Personally would move Hinge to Scholl’s wing, Laird to the backline (and to add some experience if that is what they are concerned about), Smith dropped, Dowling in as a half forward / inside mid, and play Curtin.

Also sadly I watch a lot of West Coast and they wont be easy beats, nor will the Hawks the week after. So the happy clappers - including seemingly our coaching staff - who just expect we will go 6-6-1 and season back on might be sorely disappointed.

Wasn't Dawson only shit for the 1st quarter when we weren't in the contest? Murphy was not just shit but very very very shit for the 2nd half when we were in the contest so he had a lot of opportunity to contribute to doing something to win the game.
