I was trying to be funny, not suggest something Nicks might actually do...nah, might be wet... We'll put Murphy in the ruck so he can help at ground level.

TI wouldn't overthink it, as a supporter. Our coach changes things up based on conditions, venue, opposition. All good![]()

Yes, for all those slippery ground ball gets and Defensive pressure in our F50.A fair bit of rain forecast Sunday so we'll need Tex
I have no doubt he knew when he was interviewed on Tuesday. This just seems like policy on the run to me. We've seen Tex gradually and reliably deteriorate over the last few weeks and they absolutely should have known he was a massive risk last Saturday. How do you get to Thursday or Friday of game week without having made that decision. I would have thought that the rest week would be well planned and all Tex's energies following the final siren would be centered around repair rather than preparation.
Reality is that the tail still wags the dog at our club. Tex is no doubt pushing extremely hard to play in the Eagles beat down, hope to kick 4 or 5 to prove that he doesn't need a rest. So 'likely to be rested within the next fortnight' become unlikely due to renewed form and vigour. When it comes to putting his hand up to play, he absolutely will not do what's best for the team. If that was the case, he wouldn't have played against the Pies.

Ok, Ok, I've got one.
Let's see how ROB and McAndrew go as forwards, and get Burgess to do the ruckwork...
Why? We need to back the boys in to respond. Why change such a successful outfit? So nothing re: a Cheddar debut? Would've assumed it'd get leaked at the same time the Hugh Jackson debut news was leaked by Ch7

We do play Sunday. but I would suspect if it does happen we'll know today. So nothing re: a Cheddar debut? Would've assumed it'd get leaked at the same time the Hugh Jackson debut news was leaked by Ch7

I just continually think about the Richmond game last year where Adam Kelly just kept saying "We pick the best side available to win this week" over and over. That's how we operate. This just seems like policy on the run to me. I mean, you have to say thatI just continually think about the Richmond game last year where Adam Kelly just kept saying "We pick the best side available to win this week" over and over. That's how we operate.
If Tex played his cards right, he could have rested last week against the Pies, instead of embarrassing himself. This just seems like policy on the run to me. They let Curtin "have a crack at it" against Fremantle in Fogarty's absence and he was a non-entity. He'll have a lot harder time in Walker's absence than Fogarty's.
Equally the club seems entirely unconcerned with his actual output, but probably don't want a complacent player. If you're going to drop a player to keep them sharp, it's generally more effective in a game when they are expecting to pad their stats against a week opponent.
Doesnt really make a lot of sense. To be honest, I'd rather Tex played this week at home when the result should be beyond doubt, rather than next week against a stronger opponent in Sydney where he'd likely be a liability in a crowded forward line.
Yep. ChEdwardsCheddar?
Im assuming that is Edwards
We've been making the same mistakes for 6 years.Does anyone think we've learned anything from Tex's game and subbing off on the weekend in a narrow loss?
Will we make smarter decisions moving forward?
Heaven forbid we rest him for two weeks to benefit the teamTo be honest, I'd rather Tex played this week at home when the result should be beyond doubt, rather than next week against a stronger opponent in Sydney where he'd likely be a liability in a crowded forward line.
