Geelong O'Sullivan managed
Richmond Nankervis managed
Hawthorn Maginness managed
Brisbane Coleman managed
Collingwood Sidebottom managed
I guess Coleman pulling up with knee soreness according to the AFL site is managed but really he's obviously not fit to play anyhow.

Maybe the crows are being uncharacteristically smart by not announcing the resting of a superstar so as to not provide ammo for the oppo by showing disrespect - as opposed to "We know you're shit and we're gonna belt you so we're taking this opportunity to rest up some players."

Who had “disrespect” on idiot excuse bingo?

There's not two settings
Fit to play
or
Not fit to play

There's a million levels in between

Lots of bagging on here and moaning about not learning lessons..
... for good reason.
In 5 years, Nicks has shown no apparent learning from losses, and a stubborn inflexibility.
but we've done things this year that we have not in previous.
Don't you wonder why all those things you mentioned, good things, have happened this year?
After 5 years the pennies have dropped and Nicks has suddenly woken up?
After 5 years Nicks has re-thought some of his modus operandi?

I don't suppose it has anything to do with Murray Davis , do you?
Is it best for Tex to rest this game (a supposed easy one) or next (a tough trip to Sydney)?
If "managing Tex" had been a priority, I'd suggest that:
--- the Suns game (Round 4)
and/or
--- last week's wet game vs the Pies (in which Tex looked lost while his opponent Howe ran rampant)
would have been good times to do it.
Those chances went begging.

I conclude that:
1) after 5 years our Coach who is still taking "baby steps" has not learned much at all and
2) to cover their own butts, the Club has propped up their failing, re-appointed-for-2-years Coach by recruiting no less than 3 best-22 players and added Davis to whisper in Nicks' ear, yet you and others want us to give Nicks the credit for any improvements that come from that?
Yeah ... but nah.

I guess it's the glass half full/empty thing here?
Jen, under Nicks the Crows' glass is 62.9% EMPTY.
Would I like to see MORE - absolutely. I'm just grateful I'm getting to see SOME changes.
You've been Nicksed.
Your expectations have been worn down by Nicks' failures.
After 5 years and 10 rounds you're grateful for "SOME changes" even though you acknowledge it has not been many and want to see more.

After 4 years and 4 Rounds I jumped off the Nicks steam train.
It was easy since it was moving so slowly. I'm waiting for the Club to find one of these:

**** I hate it when I agree with Damo:

IF ...

some things never change ...

THEN ...

it's the Crows falling short against good, and even OK, teams. Wins against St Kilda, Essendon, North, GWS, Carlton, Port. Losses to Geelong, Collingwood, Gold Coast, Freo. So of course they'll beat the Eagles at Adelaide Oval on Sunday. And it won't mean a thing.

But this is my point, you act like your opinion is fact yet you are going against all the coaches involved at the club. Yes they might be bad, you might end up being right. But if the coaches all change and Milera still plays and Cummings still plays somewhere else, then you can hardly claim this as the fact you pretend it to be.

My point is its fine to discuss, its fine for everyone to have opinions, but this board is famous for having only one side be regarded as fact and anyone who disagrees must be destroyed. Hence your previous reply. No point being aggressive and outright rude when someone disagrees.
Those same coaches have delivered how many finals appearances?

Well, I reckon if we believe Tex is best 22, then we must also believe we need him vs Sydney to win the game, because it will be a tough one.

So... it then flows logically that if he really needs a rest right now so he's playing at full potential, then we should do it immediately.

Have to say, selection this year has been refreshingly good. Having so few injuries has certainly helped but even so there has hardly been a week where there is anything to complain about. Even reading the normal Nicks haters here, it really has only been about 1 or 2 players, and even they have been pretty 50/50 really.

Everyone this week seems so happy that the only debate seems to be whether we should be giving Tex a rest or not. Dare I say maybe the coach is doing some things right?

We should beat WCE even if the margin might be reduced by the conditions.

If Brisbane beats the Hawks, we'll move up to 4th on the Ladder, with a trilogy of Sydney (away)/Brisbane (home)/Hawks (away) to follow.

As many in here had predicted, we will know much more about the 2025 Crows come the Bye.
Gonna be interesting (I think we will be 7-7; any better'n that will be a positive).

Yeah I felt the same thing, dirty for many reasons.

Hi all

I see Pedlar is back in the side for the first time this season. Is he any chance at all of holding his spot and featuring regularly or semi-regularly through the second half of the season?
He's gonna be the sub and then if he does well as the sub he'll get rewarded with another month as being the sub.
