Makes sense if rumours of Tex out are substantiated. Why you’d not just rest him for a game vs West Coast is poor management

Is Dowling playing SANFL?

Tex won't rest in an easy home kill against the worst team of the last 3 decades. Our coaches are too weak to intervene and Tex is an atypical senior player that cares mote about himself than the team. He's no different than Talia, Sloane, Thommo etc etc, it's all about him.

No, it is definitely laziness. Brought back straight into the midfield? He generally hasn't played midfield at AFL level.
Maybe he had laziness too no idea but he was seriously injured so not sure you can say laziness so definitively.

And the sub usually plays midfield, if he ends up being the sub, so I meant in that sense.

Ah ok re: him being sub.

I mean laziness has been his issue since before he was drafted. The only thing stopping Pedlar from having a successful career is himself.

Coaches shouldn’t need to intervene.

They’re meant to pick the side not the players.

Players used so far
29 Collingwood, Geelong, Sydney
30 Adelaide, GC
31 Brisbane, Hawthorn
32 Essendon, GWS, North, WC, WB
33 Carlton, Fremantle, Melbourne , Port, Richmond
34 St Kilda

Just thought I'd put this in to add context to the argument about some clubs like Collingwood being smart for resting players, whereas we're dumb for not resting. Not necessarily arguing against anyone who thinks we should rest players more, I think we probably err on the side of not resting enough, but look at how low Collingwood and Geelongs players used are and presumably they'd be lower still perhaps if they hadn't rested players.

Been mainly injuries and suspensions for us though over unforced changes. Nicks has seldom been a coach who makes unforced changes unless its an easy out like a young or fringe player he can scape goat after a loss.
