I think Milera needs to go out and ply his craft in the SANFL for a while.

Hendo must go, I'd take Mackay over him at this point!

Would love to see Menzel come in, played well yesterday.

If you think Hendo is no good on the outside, just wait till you see 16 lifetime touch Mackay. At least Hendo has penetration when he kicks and the ability to find time under pressure. Mackay has neither of those things. Pure outside spud is Mackay.

OUT: Douglas, Hendo, Milera
IN: Thommo, Crouch, Menzel

But I think Mackay instead of Crouch will happen

I think Mackay is unlikely. He got his opportunity due to injury and held it only OK. he doesn't have the talent to unseat anyone in the 22. If Pyke is prepared tomforceca rest on Thommo, then he's capable of looking last Mackay. .

Tough one on the changes front this week, Thommo will probably come in, for who I am not sure. Hendo probably should be dropped but he has always taken a few games in seniors to make an impact

Mackay is considered best 22, only lost his place due to an injury and played well in the 2's, showing he's back.

He comes in for Henderson or Milera.

Thompson comes in, hard to say who for. I don't think they'll drop Douglas, but the like-for-likes played pretty well.

Mackay was playing an inside/outside role. No way he pushes past Rat. He was holding his spot, but I doubt he's a best 22 certainty. He wasn't that good and he was also very bad in the 3/4's he played pre hammy. He might come in for Hendo in an outside role though, but I'd say it's a close call. Talia is averaging 2.3 touches less than Mackay this year, just to put a bit of perspective on how well he's actually going. Take into consideration his opportunity to gain possessions, given his role, and he's really only just holding his head above water. He's no best 22 certainty at all. Maybe Milera with his 12 touches, but I recall few posters suggesting Mackay was good in round 1 with that amount.

No based on the fact if we are to have any chance of a premiership in the next decade we need midfielders. Brad is potentially an A grade midfielder. You're not a fan?
I'm not a fan of his current form , he is a mile off his best right now . When you look at the injury history it's not surprising it might take him a little while

I'm a big fan overall , he needs another 3 SANFL games from what I've seen. He is currently sub standard and it does him no favours to play him in seniors until he is ready

Once he's in he stays so they just need to get him up to a standard

I know you can't stand Mackay, and you're not alone in feeling that way.

I don't think there's any evidence the selection panel feel the same way.

Really enjoyed the synergy between the mid field this week, they worked well together. . Wouldn't change this. Haven't been a fan of Hendo since willygate something seemed to change make 1 change; someone (please not Mackay) for Hendo.

Do you think it's harder for Brad to show form in the sanfl than it would be for matt? I'm assuming they want a bit more run and carry from him as opposed from what they would want from matt?

That's exactly what they want and to hit targets by foot when he gets a chance

Brad just looked heavy legged in SANFL and his kicking went at about 40% at best

Lyons v B Crouch form is incomparable right now and they should be embarrassed re dropping Lyons to start with

Brad will be back within a month , I have no doubt . It's not the possession count but his style of play that will improve

Out: Douglas and Hendo

In: Thommo and Menzel

However it will be Mckay instead of Menzel knowing the tentative selection panel.

Menzel loves the big occasion. Useless wasting away in the SANFL. Just give him a crack and let his skills do the talking.

B Crouch is not even in the frame this week. I want him playing for us for the next 10 years as much as the next guy, but he's not even a 5% chance to return against the Eagles so don't even bother getting your hopes up.

Thommo and Mackay are realistically the only two being considered for a recall. 1 or both will come in. 1 or 2 (NOT all 3) of Douglas, Milera and Henderson will be dropped, unless there's an injury we don't know about. I suppose there's some sort of chance M Crouch makes way for Thommo, but dropping a bloke on the back of a 36 possession game seems unlikely (unless Pyke and Campo weren't happy with the decision making or defensive action).

I'm objective when it comes to Dmac, I applaud his good and recognise his bad. Sadly, there's much more recognition than applaudation going on. Exhibit A is not coming straight in against a crud team. He could easily have played as Laird did off a longer out and less ability to run while out. I can't see him pushing Rat out of his current role, so he'll have to return to his outside role, which we know he's failed at since 2009. He might sneak in, either Milera or McG may need a rest and Hendo hasn't set the world on fire. But they're all outperforming Mackay's last stretch in those roles. And let's be honest, his year has been vastly overrated in here by a few. Yes it's been better, but a 14 touch game in round 1 was hailed as the return of the kid. He's had 3 good games, but the rest were not. I think he's probably exactly where he belongs, fringe player who can cover fir a few players if needed. Upgrading Hendo would be good, but Mackay isn't that man.

I would have thought playing for the Crows would be a big occasion. What big occasions has he excelled in?

Thommo will be the only in IMO and unfort it will be for M Crouch

Can't remember us being in a scenario where we can drop an in form player but that's where we are at

Thommo M Crouch and Lyons doesn't work on subi

Lyons ain't getting dropped , M Crouch unlucky

No need to bring Mackay in . I liked milera's game , think subi will suit

Hendo will play at subi

McGovern ain't going anywhere and he's going home . Pencil him in

B Crouch needs more time

Menzel needs a 4 quarter performance but he's getting there and could play later in year

Absolutely can't see him being left out.

Obviously no one saw his second half either because it was pretty darn good after being woeful early.

That effort with Bruce looked awful but the ball moved a metre in the breeze late and Bruce far too good with body position.

Keep Hendo on the wing and prosper.
He had a chance to absolutely kill that contest with his fist and body and he chose a soft spoil attempt instead that didn't get anywhere near it.

3 things.
Milera will be twice the player mackay is.
Milera will be in our next premiership side.
While we should never gift games players on similar output at afl level we should play the kid with undoubted talent over the experienced plodder
Milera is not getting dropped !!

Have some faith , they will rest him if tired at any stage but otherwise they will play him

I liked his game
