Thommo will be the only in IMO and unfort it will be for M Crouch

Can't remember us being in a scenario where we can drop an in form player but that's where we are at

Thommo M Crouch and Lyons doesn't work on subi

Lyons ain't getting dropped , M Crouch unlucky

No need to bring Mackay in . I liked milera's game , think subi will suit

Hendo will play at subi

McGovern ain't going anywhere and he's going home . Pencil him in

B Crouch needs more time

Menzel needs a 4 quarter performance but he's getting there and could play later in year
You dont drop a player that got nearly 40 touches.

Can someone explain the difference between a Douglas and a Thompson and why it has to be M Crouch that comes out?
Some players extract and handball or kick off one step and others run/carry

Douglas at his best can carry and get it over a line - he's not in great form but I'd say they think he's playing his role given our last 2 weeks

Id be v surprised if M Crouch Thommo and Lyons all played at subi but it's possible

Thommo will definitely play , Lyons will definitely play so we will see re M Crouch

I'd be happy to see how we go with all 3 but I'm not sure it will happen

Cheers. I just think Lyons can play Douglas' role which is why I asked why Crouch. I understand your point that by not dropping him the selectors see Douglas filling a role but there comes a time when it becomes a numbers game and to drop someone who has nearly 40 is beyond the pale. Unless the AFC come out strong explaining why there will be a lot of head scratching.

Football should be about reward. Players understand that from a very young age. Its why everyone is a forward and not many are backmen ;)

I also think we have enough ''carry'' players to ''carry'' Crouch/Lyons/Thompson on Subiaco

I must say I initially thought the talk from Campo and others that Brad Crouch wasn't playing 'our way' was a bit of a cop out - in his last performance at AFL level he at least ran hard defensively and his main issue seemed to be getting his hands on the pill.

However watching my first SANFL game for the season on the stream yesterday, he really was playing one dimensional footy - shovelling it out without a great deal of consideration for who of his teammates were in best position and with no desire to run and carry. Stalwarts of the BoBoB cause will argue his 7 tackles showed intent, but for a heavily contested game where he was nearly always at the ruckman's feet, jumping on stationery opponents wasn't all that inspiring.

Meanwhile Jarryd Lyons continues to finesse the ball beautifully by foot, make an impact on the scoreboard and execute creatively by hand. I even saw him running hard up and down the wing defensively a few times. Matt Crouch has the inside extractor role sewn up despite a bizarre fortnight's resting and Thommo won't miss more than a week at a time. Douglas has had his last chance and will be dropped, but that still doesn't open up a spot for Brad. Will be interesting to see how the club manages him going forward.

Hendo probably misses for Mackay after a pedestrian first three quarters, I think/hope the coaches might just back Milera for one more week before the bye. Would have loved Riley Knight on the wing for this game.
Knight has been out with an ankle injury.

I wouldn't be unhappy to see it

Douglas prob needs a rest in any case

Like the scenario where we can rest mids occassionally and keep the side fresh .

Look at what Matt did on the back of some freshening up - something to be said from it

Still not sure the coaches will go that way but it's a possibility

Milera will be squeezed out IMO. Thommo to come back.

That high half forward role Milera was playing can easily enough be absorbed by a number of other players - Lyons/Cameron.

Thommo comes back to the coal face with Crouch.

Douglas on the thinnest of ice and may be the casualty if they end up going mid for mid.

In Thommo
Out Milera/Douglas

I hope Milera stays in . Think he will be well suited to subi and showed some good signs yesterday

Think you are correct it will be one change only - Thommo for someone

Hendo was playing more of a high half forward wing role with Laird coming back in the team. Would much prefer to drop Hendo for Thommo and get Milera to play higher up the ground. At least he can dispose the ball effectively!

What do you think will happen ?
Could you see them giving Thommo some long service leave (3 weeks off ) ?

I can't see it but I would be OK with it
I can see Douggie being dropped.

He has done stuff all for 3 of the last 4 games. He's not providing any run that we will miss.

Love seeing Lyons playing like he is. Always had a lot of time for him despite Vader's comments on him. Now hoping that Griggy can do the same. Cmon Griggy. Nothing better than being able to tear Vader wrong on players.
We have been spoilt for players making Vader look stupid this year, its happening every week :)

Cameron, Milera and Betts are going ok together who would have thought!

Another interesting suggestion

In Thommo

Outs one of - Douglas, Henderson, M Crouch, Milera

Being Subi I just think they will want to keep as many of the run/carry guys as possible

Absolutely can't see him being left out.

Obviously no one saw his second half either because it was pretty darn good after being woeful early.

That effort with Bruce looked awful but the ball moved a metre in the breeze late and Bruce far too good with body position.

Keep Hendo on the wing and prosper.
Only you could have the gall to try and defend that pathetic effort. Credit where it's due, your misplaced faith in Henderson never wavers.

You're defending the indefensible. Henderson not only wimped out of the contest, he actually provided a very effective shepherd, protecting Bruce as he took an uncontested mark.

I'm not a fan of Hendo, but he keeps getting selected and I can't see him being dropped now.

Just can't see anyone other than Milera or Douglas sitting in the departure lounge

Yeah wouldn't mind that either. Mackay is a better player than Henderson  and he was good in the SANFL this week

In ; B. CROUCH, S.THOMPSON, D.McKAY
Out; R.HENDERSON, R.DOUGLAS, W.MILERA

In form and grunt midfielders that can play across half back/wing. Will need additional runners that can get a hard ball and tackle in Perth.

There is no way they are making 3 changes after a game they should have won by 120 other than poor goal kicking

Trust you to misunderstand what took place :)

NicNat copped a broken nose yesterday, surely wouldnt play next week with that?
Depends on his Stynes Level* it would be more his vision and how it might be affected by swelling

*ability to play with pain
