AFLW 2024 - Round 2 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
He's had a good couple of weeks in the VFL (5 goals & 11 tackles in 2 games) so it's likely he'll be called up with our injuries. McNeil can take Garcia's spot as a small forward which will allow to play a higher forward/midfield role.Outside of being a crumbing forward, McNeil should never be played in the AFL side again
Weāll see what happens tomorrow night but I agree with those suggesting that a debut for Bianco is a possibility (wearing the coveted No. 41?).
They might re-draft him just so they can get the inside info on Bevo's game plan.He might get re-drafted by Collingwood at this rate (given they've lost Pendlebury now too), so you might be right!
I'm more than OK if he is brought in to play small forward. But he cannot be played elsewhere, we've got enough evidence that he isnt up to it.He's had a good couple of weeks in the VFL (5 goals & 11 tackles in 2 games) so it's likely he'll be called up with our injuries. Given we are a few mids down, I wonder if Harmes will tag Daicos. We know Bevo hates tagging but without Libba, Baz and Richards we donāt have the usual weapons to go head to head.If we can prevent the Daicos/Gardiner combination dominating out of the middle we have got this game. Over to you Bevo get the tactics right on Daicos. Richards would have been perfect for the job so maybe Harmes. Tim needs to negate Gardiner at the centre bounce.

After todayās bevo press conference it seems logical the changes of Lobb & JOd and with Scott going down McNeil is the only logical & safe choice.
We should win this one if we are any chance of playing finals.
Thoughts guys?
Who is Gardiner? If we can prevent the Daicos/Gardiner combination dominating out of the middle we have got this game. Over to you Bevo get the tactics right on Daicos. Richards would have been perfect for the job so maybe Harmes. Tim needs to negate Gardiner at the centre bounce.
That's because it's being based on numbers and not quality of who will and won't play. The odds have really swung and we are now favouritesā¦
And with the focus now on holding the ball decisions, he will really need to be on his game.Fingers crossed from last week's showing that Caleb Daniel has turned the corner in his effort to find form again. IMO his main problem has been retaining possession way too long trying to do too much. It used to work for him but other teams figured him out and now just hunt him relentlessly knowing that he habitually doesn't take first or even second options. He needs to mix it up more, move it on quickly to create doubt as to what he is going to do.
Heās not soft. No need to call him that. No, please God. not McNeil. Soft low possession receiver who is also one of the worst kicks for goal on our list. Baker or Poulter before him any and every day for any position he would be competing for.
Believe it or not, I find the majority of the Collingwood crowd on BF pretty civil towards Dogs fans, unlike, a certain bay-side city team.In b4 Collingwood supporters blame injuries if they lose, not knowing our out are just as bad if not worse than theirs.

Not really. I can certainly see why you would have that view.LOL, no problem with the rest of my statement.
