They weren’t for Rowbottom.
I'm sure if we get down to tin tacks, Rowbottom had them go both ways as well. These umpires are not sophisticated enough to get it right all the time.

Anyway thank god that horror show is over.

Bring on the draft and bring on the external review.

Checking out for a while.
Your damned right the season was a horror show , team never got out of first gear , half the team should be sacked then pull the rug on the off field , coaches , recruiting staff , no stone unturned

Ferg didn’t look to keen on the win playing Mon FF.
Good to see Yassir show she loves footy.
A few strange (entrepreneurial) moves

Watched the replay this morning and take away was probably should have won as we had more set shots in that second half and failed to put the game to bed, couldn't get that 2 -3 goal break away we deserved to finish off on.

Could count on one hand the number of times that both teams worked shorts kicks to a free player inside 50 for entire game, instead so many times kicked high ball I50 to contest and defences were on top. Was because of a general lack of movement inside 50. Without Brennan being deep forward, it was left to Greiser who offered the most lead ups. Greiser and Yassir missed all of their set shots. At least 0-5, Fev would have been watching on and shaking his head, didn't pay off this game but we need to keep working on set shots and icing them.

This game was like watching a game of tennis, was scrappy and lots of breakdown with skill errors. The best chain we had all game was 7 possessions from the wing with Egan featuring a couple of times that ended with a mark 30m out straight in front, which we missed, but mostly a hard watch of two teams desperately needing an injection of skilful players.

Were it not for Egan, or Lucy Single, the other team would have won. Ultimately, Single was cleaner.

Don't like the kicking routine that Grieser is going through. What Fev is doing, is probably harder for her than others, given her bulk. Too much chance to sway the ball as you straighten up. I know it's about keeping the ball closer to the feet, but that routine is hard work for Greiser. Every time she gets a little more erect in her approach, her kick is more stable, more natural for her. I'd be working more on the follow-through - laws of the pendulum apply to kicking - the toes don't lie (unless you are Buddy of course).

Is it just me or do others think not all is well within the team?

Hopefully this review will serve to give the AFLW some things to work/focus on to improve. I feel like we may have been past by other clubs?

From this far away it's hard to say. There are some events, like Sheerin bailing, Yassir trying to bail, a kind of silent coaching extension, but that can occur at any Club, every year. I would describe us as having three big dogs in Ferg, Hampson and now Fev. How well that is working I don't know. All I know is two wins after being in the finals last season is not the right trajectory. It suggests something is not right. Maybe messages are being overwritten rather than undermined - you would have to have someone inside to know that.

I'd suggest we have peaked with this rather average list. It's heavy in average players.

Yeah agree with this, one thing leads to another and then the club has to step in and take action. One thing I will add from my personal experience is that within teams you have different cliques of varying social groupings and when events are occurring in the team, as you've mentioned inevitably what happens is the glue to this cohesive and harmonious environment (of these different personality groups) fails and it all starts to break down, leading to a lowering of performance.

Or, the poor results themselves can bring it on, players are unhappy with management but unite, just ask Chris Newman. Elite sportspeople can be competitive beasts, and can turn on others, but we don't know whether or for what reason that all is unwell, team wise or other, and whether results are causing it, but as you say only those within the four walls will definitely in the know but are staying mum about it.

We all have are own experiences in suburban and country leagues, and all that is on steroids at times. Sometimes a player makes themselves so toxic, it gets through the club, one way or another. Think that happened to Luke Dahlhaus at the Doggies as an example, it certainly happened to Stringer as well. Every Club has a culture, and it can change so fast.

Still think is ours is more about the plateauing of our list quality.
