Nope he played his best footy for the Crows in 2017
Did you actually watch him play a single game in 2017?

For those not familiar with the Scorpus sense of humour, Murphy was not on our list in 2017.
He was a top up player in the SANFL.

Nothing like a little Murphy bashing.

18 games for our SANFL side, averaged 16 disposals a game. He was good and that's why we drafted him.

Dont understand why people hold hope of Milera sub after close to his best game of the year.

Please explain?

Its out of Pedlar and Smith, and playing a 3 tall fwd line in the wet, its a certainty that we will need all the experience we can gather to counter the off-chance rebound run and gun from our fwd 50.

Surely Taylor comes in for Walker as a late change with 5-15mm of rain forecast.
Or Draper. Just give the kid a full game at AFL level instead of dropping him back to SANFL.

WTF does Nicks thinks he protecting him from? This is last years Premiers, this is a good measuring stick to experience early on to determine the level he has to be at to succeed. Run him with Neale for a while, it will at least make for bloody entertaining footy.

just had a look last time we played them, Neale had 36 disposals snd 3 goals, Dunkley 35 and a goal - our 2 top possession getters were Laird and Smith

Not a corncern if Tex is taking grabs and kicking goals all game.

I'd rather Smith at this point. We are very fixed structurally, we play 7 defenders, I don't see that changing. So when Laird returns, a defender needs to make way or move up the ground.

I don’t recall saying that we wouldn’t select Smith and Laird. I’m generally on the side of our club reverting to experience and continuity above most everything else.
There we go.

Running him with Neale makes for entertaining footy ??

No it doesn't.

Letting him go out and chase the pill for 4 quarters might be exciting though

Reckon Laird into the 22 for Smith who will be the sub... so no change to the structure.

Doubt Pedlar is sub or Hinge is moved to a wing or Curtin up forward.
It should be just a straight choice between Laird and Smith. Period. If Laird comes in, Smith goes out.

It's like the old Laird and Crouch argument. The team cannot carry both of those old bodies anymore. Who ever has the form gets the call up, the other plays SANFL...

But we are talking about the "age of entitlement" Crows here where you get in the cliche and you are rusted on.

Draper is one of our few guys with elite speed. I mean really elite speed.

I'm not saying all game, but bursts being played with Neale would be interesting, and entertaining.

Remember when the media went wild about Walsh matching up Dangerfield with Fyfe, asking who he thought won and why he did it?

I want a coach as daring as that again.

Nicks has Osmium levels of density.
'Loved' because I had never heard of Osmium.
Googled.
Now I know something new :D AND ... you're right.

Nicks is going all-in for the win by his default, unimaginative technique --- go with experience (as opposed to Blight who got us 2 Flags by backing in talented youth).
If we win, that's 4 much-needed points against last year's Premiers who are 9-2-1 without Cameron being in form. Heaven help the Comp. if he finds his mojo.

If we lose, it will not change Nick's view of backing experience
and
Draper misses out on valuable experience and development.

We will not win a Flag under this Osmium-brained turkey.
