My apologies. You said Murphy was a disgrace in 2017
I’m fine with laird coming back in. He’s best 22 but sliding down the list.Laird shouldn't have a spot in this team - he's not doing anything wrong, but he's a limited footballer and we already have better options. Watch our ball movement from defense go backwards from last week due to his selection.
Smith - can live with it, but only because we haven't taken the opportunity to get someone like Edwards (even Draper?) into the side and settled.
Tex - if it is wet and we play him, it's a joke, and just proves that the tail is wagging the dog.
Nah what would be best is if he retires on 299, it would be perfect. The only explanation for playing Tex tomorrow is to try and get him to 300 games.
I'd like to see it - but not at the expense of the team, which it will be if he plays tomorrow.
Tail wags the dog.

Back during the DMac days, I can remember a friend telling me the Crows culture of valuing experience over talent came from St Peters College where Trigg used to be a teacher.
Apparently they’d hold annual sports matches against rivals Prince Alfred College and regularly lose, with a policy of prioritizing and selecting senior players over more talented younger students. The rationale was that the younger students would have more chances in the future and the senior students had been waiting for their chance. Sound familiar?
It might be suitable for a school to make sure everyone gets their turn, but not for a sporting club competing at the highest level.
For those wondering, this adds up to 364%, so less than four games of total time.
The way we’re playing Draper is terrible. Just like we did with Curtin.
Plays sub for pretty much every game, and if doesn’t dominate, drops him. Give him a few full games and let him get settled FFS. Asking a kid to play a quarter at a time and making a mark just ain’t going to work.
Sub should be aging player who can do with a rest but step up if needed.
Oh well.
I’d go with Smith as sub, hopefully come on for one of our talls.
Nicksy says "But with this wind he could kick goals from CHB"Pretty bloody wet out there, if this keeps up we can’t play Tex. He’s moving like a truck these days, he will get subbed at 1/4 time
Ah so this explains a lot….Triggy became Master in Charge of Football for my final year there. This was John Halbert’s first year as coach. When in year 11 we had 2 year 10s play in the firsts, Seb Packer was one of them. I was only there for 1 year of the Trigg reign, but it wasn’t the case then, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that changed. Especially after Halbert left, Trigg’s influence would have increased significantly.
Yeah nahThe wet will actually suit Tex and his footy smarts rather than a fast paced perfect conditions type of game.

Hopefully Tex another late tactical out and Sid back in...
Also if conditions are as forecast tonight, would be absolutely stupid to have Pedlar or Berry as sub.
Sid isn’t even an emergency.
Taylor for Taylor would be the smart move.Pretty bloody wet out there, if this keeps up we can’t play Tex. He’s moving like a truck these days, he will get subbed at 1/4 time
Ah so this explains a lot….
We all need broad shoulders like Dave Byrne to handle selection night!!!
