I think they said Sandilands failed the concussion test considerably late this week. I will be surprised if we see him against Carlton. Brain injuries are a serious matter and with the bye coming up, I wouldn't be playing him even if he presents well this week.

Someone else said they don’t put on enough pressure - I’d have to agree. Ape, Cox and Jones aren’t perfect but they really throw themselves at the footy and at the opposition. With that said one of them might be a likely in.

Honestly quite liking the makeup of the side Sandi-less so would persist with that (we'll probably be without him next year so don't mind seeing how we line up without). Real team effort so wouldn't be dropping anyone else (even Ballas). The guys at Peel can build some selection pressure.

Hughes probably doesn't fit the role perfectly but not particularly worried about Carlton's forward line so feel we don't really need Johnson. Keep the rebuild rolling.

Sandi can just have the week off for mine. Hope he's right, purely for the mans wellbeing but at his age and with what he's done for the club; there's really no need to chuck him in and make him travel with the by coming up. Especially with Ape and Jones both playing their hearts out (still not Sandi but you'll take it)

I'd say Ballas will be on edge next week too, with McCarthy performing well (tackle numbers up) and a taller forward line - I'm sure if he can add a few goals to his name this week and keep good tackle numbers he'll be pushing selection again, as will crowden.

I think Sandi’s concussion might be worst than first thought. At the end of the day there’s life after footy and it’s best not to risk further damage.

If they feel Kersten, Hamling and Nyhuis(does play tall)can cover Carlton’s talls maybe Crowden is a chance to replace Walters and Dunman back to the 2nds if up and running?

Sandi has already had 2 weeks off and gets another rest the week after. At his age he can’t have no game time for a month. He and Apeness will work over Cruze beautifully in tandem.

If Walters misses then I’d pick Duman if fit; Hughes if not.
