Didn't our defensive pressure rating go through the roof when we were under the pump against the Lions late in the game. Kept us in it & forced them to have shot mostly from where it was difficult to score with the wind.

Believe we have a very good pressure rating this year..

Also, I think we are the highest scoring team from defensive transition... so our defence has been holding up very well for the most part.

It's funny how there are stats which don't align. We have a massive pressure rating and take intercept marks.

We are bog average at defensive 1v1s and %wins and defensive pressure acts.

But some how the rating is high. We are good at post clearance ground ball gets. Maybe if we lose a clearance and the opp kicks and it goes to ground we end up in possession.

Might be that we can clear it out of defence and score efficiently so there are not many 1v1s? Conversely we turn it over a lot.... maybe we get possession back via the intercepts and a team defence to minimise 1v1s?

We are shit at getting 1st touch from centre clearance.... But if we do end up with a 1st touch we are elite at the clearance. As a result we rate 5th as score from centre bounce.

Well, Bond won’t make the 23, unless Smith is being dropped and he’s the travelling emergency. Straight swap Murphy for Peatling, with the small forwards picking up a bit of the midfield slack.
