David King just gave his take on Lynch.

Reckons it has to be 4-5 weeks, it's a completely unacceptable action and given the AFL have changed 50 rules to protect the head the league has to come down hard on this.

I tend to agree, it's am minimum 4 weeks for me.

For Jon Ralph (who is a Richmond supporter) at half time on Fox Footy to try and laugh it off and push the narrative that it was only worth 2 weeks was a joke.
Interesting that Rory Laird called Lynch out publicly too.

You don't want to get in Laird's bad books. Suspensions usually follow

You'll appreciate this a bit more than the average supporter but there is a centre clearance in the last quarter, that was on the back of him already being BOG that makes you get chills, he did this running in off the wing

😍 there’s a lot more where that come from, that’s so cool

Yeah, haven't seen a proper punch thrown in a long time...a king hit as well. He is friggin lucky it didn't knock Butts out otherwise he'd be looking at some games off next year as well as all this year

Do people in this forum actually know that there is a selection committee/panel. flipping clueless people looking for fault on mass.

14 teams played this weekend.

We were the 4th oldest and 5th most experienced for games played.

We played 17th ranked Richmond, it's not unreasonable to want to get some games, and playing on the MCG experience into a couple of kids.

Nicks won't be happy until we are the oldest team.

Yeah, I saw it live and replayed it a few times before I watched Thilthorpe kick the goal, it was very Bont like
Imagine another preseason
oh boy dunk GIF

I didn't get to see the ugly part of the game.

Is Max playing forward a way to get Murray into the team? Make him a legitimate swing man who is strong at both ends. Anyway, whatever the reason, I liked what I saw.

Curtin building from strength.

Thilthorpe's contested marking dominance.

Bewildering: Murphy at CBAs.... Unless Nicks knows about bruises and niggles and he's sending in a mature body to provide some relief.... Other than that I'm coming up empty.

ADHD sidequest: I seriously think that the AFL accreditation that assistant coaches need to do has a unit on mature bodies and experience. The number of coaches that are fixated on that is large. And while it is important, it's only one consideration. I think Walsh only was our only coach since Blight wasn't bound by this cookie-cutter playbook mentality. Nicks clearly has played youngsters, but Murphy over anyone was not necessary in this game. Smith, Laird and Tex are enough "wise heads".

Bad: We missed a lot of shots I thought we should have got.
I'd have said Max playing forward was entirely about negating Vlastuins intercept/ rebound game. Will they do it again against other teams? Maybe, maybe not.

Didn't say it was unreasonable... In fact I want to see some new tallet cycled through myself. It's the fact that a team sitting third on the ladder blames every little thing that goes wrong or they don't agree with on one dude.

Nicks has accountability for selection. It's not like Murph is being selected against his will because he's bending the knee to a panel of people that work underneath him.

He had a bad corkie the other week but to be fair there were a few times he didn't chase, stopped chasing and let someone else take over or didn't put in a second effort today.

Nicks mentioned it in the presser that they thought the game was won, and it was managing soreness. We did similar with Thilthorpe against West Coast Sydney*, so not the first time at least.

If it's for that, I'm willing to let this one slide.

*Surprised I got that one mixed up.

I missed seeing the first half, that’s why I was surprised to see him being subbed off. It really does make sense that he’s likely to be off the pace with some niggles.
We had a week off

Any injury excuse comes from today. Nicks mentioned management not injury

Why wasn't Tex managed
