No way Matt Crouch should be rubbed out. He didn't bump the head, he bumped his shoulder. Shouldn't have even been a free. Waite took a dive to play for a free, which the North Melbourne players make an art of to influence the umps, infront of their home crowd. Piss weak diving is being paid!!!

Where was our players sticking up for eddie? On telly he looked to be getting roughed up by 2 or 3 north players twice his size, with no crows players to be seen. Probably happened about 10 times thought out the game. North obviously targeted eddie. He needs protection. Poor from our crows blokes.
Then the roos player dives and is given a free.

He was a club changer nonetheless though

Disagree, he spoke all the right words but he selected the 3 stooges in every game he could. He didn't shake up the coaches box, kept the same guys as were under sando and craig.

Elite standards sounded great, but never saw that mindset at the selection table.

He had a coaching panel all under contract and the guys he wanted were tied up at the clubs they were at.

Lol, yeh cos coaches never get the chop mid contract.

He would be under pressure from the assistant coaches who were there when Mackay got his ludicrous 4 year deal, how would they look with a guy with 3 years left sitting in the twos.

Of course they want him in the side - people have egos struggle to admit when they have stuffed up badly.

Well I can't explain why a smart, tactical coach would pick two spuds when we have a full squad to choose from including players who were clearly best 22 last year.

To be fair, I can sort of understand picking VB and Mackay while players like Cameron, Henderson and Knight are returning from injury. But these players, particularly Knight, passed their fitness test in the SANFL this week with flying colors. If Pyke still wants to keep VB and Mackay in despite these players being available, then he's either an idiot, or being overruled by someone else
As i've said, you're better than this

Isn't this his last year under contract? Plus he's already 30. Just sack him already, jesus. We don't owe him anything like honorable captaincy of the reserves. We're not a charity
No, but we have a club culture of treating players respectfully .....and VB is highly respected within the player group .....what you're suggesting would rip the heart out of the team, trust me

If Knight gets the nod think it's between McKay and Milera.
If VB gets dropped it would be for Henderson.
If Crouch gets a game it's between CEY and Lyons. Prob CEY for mine as Lyons didn't get a run this week.
If Menzal is a chance it would probably be at the expense of McLovin.
Who do we replace with Hartigan?

Well the only other option is that Pyke is correct in selecting VB and we're all not seeing something.

Which I doubt.
VB was selected on form, fitness, and team structure, which we are not privy to.

As more players in SANFL become match fit .....this team will evolve over the coming months .....relax and enjoy the ride ;)

If the players can't cope with an underperfoming player getting dropped or moved on then they don't want to be part of a club with elite standards and a winning culture. Simple as that.

I'm more taking about if Pyke selects VB for the next game. I understand why he was selected in R1

Exactly!

What sort of soft culture would rather play their buddy rather than actually WIN

Out of context Scorpus .....the suggestion was VB be immediately sacked, not dropped

He's obviously not going to get sacked until the end of the year. Clubs don't sack players mid season

It depends on who are the options to play VB's role .......off HB I'd have Shaw coming in

But I am confident the club will want to rush Knight in ? ......so who will he replace ?

No but that was the suggestion in the post, to which i responded accordingly
