Preview R2: Changes v Port

Thinker please put me out of my misery and state VB or Mackay will be dropped.

Having just come on, I'm glad you've been put out of your misery. Would've been good to see one more change I think...

VB and Hartigan aren't going to play the same spot though. Hartigan will look for the easiest option, and will hit it most times. He has gotten better and he usually works within him limitations in that regard. Cheney is another that's solid and usually works within his skill limitations when kicking too. They won't be super lethal, but if they can get it into the hands of guys who are like Smith and Seedsman back there, that will be good.

There's a fair chance that no matter who on our list they pick to play whatever role, that they'll kick like shit.

Don't mind the change this week. Vb was overdue by 3 years and it'll be good to give a few of the younger players out of the side another run in thee magoos to get them match fit and the youngsters in the side another go to try and better last weeks effort.

Think there will be a few in the gun this week if people like Knights, Charles, Tribampoline Boy and Menzel keep putting up good efforts

Ok so let's get this straight, he is playing CHB on a CHF but he's not a key defender. Do you realise how absurd that sounds?

Interesting looking at Hawks list, they really are light on key position players. Will also be interesting to see how their defence goes against Kennedy, McGovern and Darling.

Really happy with the ins and outs this week. I reckon it will be tough for VB to get back in. I just ask that you guys show a bit more respect. Remember it is the coaches that pick him, and he would only ever try his best (whether it was good enough or not). The game has moved on and he has Struggled with it....but he always played with heart and soul for our club.....OUR club. Just remember that.

Moving on to Hartigan, he really needs to take that position and own it. Big guy and they take more time to develop, but we lack time this year. Just needs to compose himself a bit more under pressure.....although did show improvement throughout the year....but needs to own it...really own it.

I'm uncomfortable with dancing too gleefully on his grave too. He's a solid citizen. But it has been incredibly frustrating, especially when he did finally get dropped, only to be brought back. I think there is just a fervent hope that this is it now.

I think one thing that's been glossed over with VB out is we kept McGovern and Milera in.

As Sanders pointed out in another thread, under previous coaches we would have gone safe, especially given its a Showdown.

We are playing 2 guys for only their second game.
