Brayshaw won't be dropped (Ross has said pick #2 is playing) but Banfield is on the maybe pile imo. I don't think it will matter with a bloke like Bailey - he'll go hard at training and Peel until he wins his spot back. Brayshaw will be the same if/when he gets sent back to Peel to work on things later in the season. Best draft group we've ever had imo.

You just can’t drop a guy after his first game. I don’t care what kind of person you are if you’ve gone hard all summer, been in the best couple in practice, easily perform above at least a few in your one game and then get dropped you’ll be feeling dirty.

You just can’t drop a guy after his first game. I don’t care what kind of person you are if you’ve gone hard all summer, been in the best couple in practice, easily perform above at least a few in your one game and then get dropped you’ll be feeling dirty.

I hope it doesn't as well but if we are bringing in at least 4 we can't just drop Danyle 4 times over to make room. If you had to drop one of Tucker, Langdon or Banfield who would you drop? Maybe we can find a way to keep all three in but if we can't, one of youngsters will have to deal with the disappointment. I think they all deserve another game. All three had strong games in JLT.

Edit - but all 3 delivered under what they did in JLT, in round 1. The issue is, if we need a 3rd tall defender then who comes out for the 4 we expect to come in?

We did get pumped by 50 points and a tall guy who played less than a handful of games kicked 4 goals on us. Essendon have three tall forwards like Port. Maybe we won't care again?

You think Johnson is going to be able to go 1v1 with any of them? He was awful defensively (1v1's) against Port. I don't see the point playing him as the loose interceptor as Luke Ryan is more than capable in that role.
