I thought it was pretty clear from my post.

We dropped a tall for a small so we're going into this game with Taberner and McCarthy as our only talls, and Taberner will be spending a fair bit of time in the ruck. And we'll get to enjoy him being outnumbered 2 vs 1 whenever he's forward.

Kersten plays like a small forward and a bad one at that. It just means we might need to be more precise in our kicking into the 50

I might be the only one on this website that doesn’t really rate Tucker, I mean yes he’s decent probably our best 22 (which isn’t hard at our club atm), but I feel like the circle jerk for him is a Bitcoin to much imo, I wasnt surprised he was dropped unlike most of use :/
I'd prefer Ballantyne was dropped before Tucker but he does need to improve his production. Some of that responsibility lies with the coaches and their ability to find a role that brings him into the game.

Don't mind the smaller team. Would rather Cox over Johnson to give us that ability to swing someone forward if we seem a little undermanned though.

I am one who rates him. If we play him on a wing his impact is significantly higher.
Ballantyne ahead of a young Tucker who is playing no worse is strange.
I suspect there may be a hint of sentiment in Balla’s and Johnson’s inclusion in this an historic game at Perth Stadium.......maybe.

There is NO WAY I’m going to let one minor disappointing change ruin this feeling.

Cerra and Crowden in, amazing and Hill and Hamling slot straight back in too.

Pearce, Sutcliffe and Kersten all out of the team.

That list on paper looks really exciting, they’ll be extremely raw but this is a great start.

I was thinking the same thing. Only logical reason why those 2 are still in the side.

I worry that Tucker may have caught the Ryan Schoenmakers disease: built like Tarzan but plays like Jane.

He needs to go back to Peel and really dominate: not just have a "good" game of 20 or so possessions (like Sheridan does). But really have an influence. When he strings together a couple of top-3-performances at Peel, then he will be ready to make his mark at AFL level.

So Tabs as lone forward. We better have changed tactics and play short and direct. Watch Western Bulldogs round 3 last season as an example.

Dropping Kersten is tanking? Please. Playing him every week is tanking. Dixon, Cox will jump ahead of him soon.

So just quietly...

**** I AM EXCITED ABOUT CERRA AND CROWDEN DEBUTING IN OUR FIRST GAME AT THE NEW STADIUM

Now just need to stop myself from getting smashed at the Camfield before the game so I don't miss it.

(a little sad Tucker got the chop but someone had to make room)

From my understanding he is a very outside player. Every team needs them, just need to get the ball to them.

Good team, no excuses

Good. I was worried my new profile jinxed the hill bros

I am going on Saturday night. My first AFL game for 2 years. Should be a great occasion.

I have invented a new drinking game to mark the event.

Every time Ballas falls down you have to down a pint.
This will be a game of which you remember very little if anything then.

Very laconic. But just doesnt look driven, hungry like he was at Hawthorn. Its kinda a retirement home for him.
I don’t know about retirement home but you’re right in that it must be tough to motivate yourself when you have 3 premiership medallions to your name st such a young age

Good outs. Good ins :) looking forward to watching the first game at new stadium with a few fresh faces in brayshaw,Banfield,Cerra and Crowden. Even if we fall short of a win. All the new faces are a step in the right direction

Johnson makes sense. Bombers have Daniher, Hooker and Stewart in their forward line. Also Johnson will be the third tall defender role which is his bread and butter. It might mean Stewart gets loose though..
