True, and we've already done better than last year's 0-1 to 0-4 start.

I get your point, but this Crows group have got to win today's game to overcome previous trends and to build their own confidence moving forward into this season.
Wanting to win away is different from knowing that you can do it.

... if ... we lose 3 or 4 games against winnable opposition away [then] we can start being concerned.

I'm already concerned enough that Nicks is still Head Coach. An away loss to a depleted Essendon side (with a stronger playing group and Davis/Balme guiding him) won't allay that.

For now even if we lose to Essendon the season is alive. Its the response that matters and whether we can.

True.
If we lose it's about how we lose and to whom, then showing in later games that the Coach and players have learned from it, quickly.
I have more faith/hope/belief in this group of players than in any group under Nicks previously.
But, Nicks.

Even premiers lose a game here and there.

Just not the PF and GF ... .
