Boak made some terrible skill errors early, then seemed to lose confidence and continued turning it over. He was clearly frustrated with himself. He's definitely got another lifeline or two before going back to SANFL tho IMO. On the plus side, he was at least finding the ball fairly regularly.

No changes for mine, but if Broges is rubbed out Thursty's a certainty.

Would prefer to see Giles debut.

If it was good enough for Cockshell and Krakouer at Subi in R1 2007, it's good enough for Giles, surely.

Davenport is playing in the SANFL and had a reasonable game from all reports. Hard running but needs to workon his kicking. Is in a fight with about 4 guysfor one spot.

In: Toby/Jon/a 200 cm inanimate carbon rod, hard to pick.

In all seriousness I'd go for Tobes, because Giles is a dud and while not a great ruckman Toby is better there than he is in defense. But if he does play we need to either a) keep him out of defence or b) wait until we've definitely won it and put him in defence on Mitch Brown so Mitch can rack up the Dream Team points for me.

The vast expanses of Subi suited Krakouer and putting on a wing wasn't really a big risk. Cockshell, well he didn't have a massive game and was just a tall, strong target.

Giles will get absolutely smashed by Cox in every facet of the game, but mostly around the ground. Won't have the endurance to go with him. Lobbe and Thurstans are better options.

Yep. Would not be surprised by Lobbe getting a game here, both for the experience and because he has the endurance to stay with Cox all day and be annoying.

Cox has proven himself to have elite endurance at the AFL level over many years. Lobbe has yet to play a SANFL league game. Lobbe is a much better runner than Giles, but right here and now Cox is on another planet.

Love him, hate him or if you just don't care, it is probably the safest option out of the three though isn't it.

I mean realistically is Cox the man we want to blood some rookies against?

Don't know if it's a good idea but I would be tempted to run Chad on him, if he goes forward at least we know Chad can defend, if he runs around at least we know Chad has the endurance and Chad can be a hand third or 4th guy up.

It also may be the Challenge to get him going.

I think it will be Thurstans, but praying that it is Lobbe. You gotta look to the future. I know i have a htred of toby thurstans, but he is 28 and not going to be along term solution. I think Lobbe has the potential to take a ruck spot when Lade/Brogan retires/delisted. Give him a gave to see what it is like and get him ready to know what to expect. Especially being a first round draft pick and all.
 
Choco said last night Giles was his preference, but he was sick last week and had a poor game. Lobbe is being considered because of his running ability, but I'm with everyone else who thinks he'll be going with Toby. We might not know for sure for a little while.
