Tossing up between Heath Shaw or Hodge.

Yes should be a no-brainer and go with the best right..
But surely Hodge is due for a rest before finals while Shaw will need to play every game?
Cannot afford to have a premo missing during DT finals week!

Trying to think rationally here and ignore the gut sickening gut-instinct which has Shaw's name firmly in my never again list! :p
Interesting one.

This year, I started with Shaw, who I had during his dark Collingwood days, and he has rewarded me with brilliant scores week in, week out. I would block that 'never again list' out of your mind.

It depends, it's basically between Eagles and Hawks for the top 2, although Hawthorn should easily make it.

That round 22 match between Hawthorn and Brisbane at Aurora is the match that I'm scared about. He'll either play and score 150, or get rested. Carlton in round 23 is also looming as a 'rest-candidate'.

Shaw is cheaper, which is also better long-term.

I'd go Shaw. He is cheaper, and will play every game.

I don't think Hodge can keep up those 140s that he produced about five rounds ago.

Shaw's lowest score since the byes was 89...

Lambert to Ratkins and McIntosh to K Simpson.

Does this seem okay? I can afford Enright or Houli.

1st thoughts were Simpson when reading, but having look at the stats Houli & Enright both have better last 3 & 5 game averages.

If Houli can keep up his form it's an extra 20 points each week then what Simpson has been scoring lately.

No beams could also equal a tag
Possibly

Was really looking for a POD, Considered Zorko, even Ryder (Lobbe dropped) and it could help having Ryder forward with Mason Cox back up ruck for DPP.

But in the end there was no point not getting Dalhaus. The logical choice, no reason not to get him as hae has better average and better 5 game average. Sometimes you can outsmart yourself looking too hard.

Pity Lecras copped a week so I couldn't make for a serious upgrade. Finished 6th in my league and this week bares some significance.

Jed Bews ---> Matthew Dick (meh, at least he's playing and hopefully can top his BE of 21)
Mark Lecras ---> Chad Wingard (smoking them down in Adelaide at the moment)

$60k in the bank plus downgrading Tom Boyd to a rookie next week should leave me about $180k to turn someone into a premium. Unless of course I'm knocked out at which point I just won't give a f*ck!

Adams > T. Mitchell. Not sure enough that Adams will play tonight and Titchell has a run of 4 potentially high scoring games to round out the season. Bucked my trend of not having more than 1 midfielder from a team but in finals exceptions have to be made.

Dumont > Dick. Like Adams to Mitchell it's another cash saver and gives me a midfield emergency to use.

Who would make a better upgrade ?

Stanton or Danger?

Stanton has 7 of last 8 100+ games and a relatively easy run and a high last 3/5 avg

Danger has been fairly consistent and hitting high scores and has an easy run home

Taken a bit of a risk this week. Can afford to with having the double chance.

Gone
Yeo > Gilbert
Dumont > Mcguane

Leaves me with 203k for next week to upgrade Daniel to a premium forward and finish my team. Downside is I'm starting Mcguane this week in the forward line, but he shouldn't be too bad against the Blues.
