Peds has secured his spot now until Rash hopefully gets back. With Taylors good form and Jones sucking badly then the next out seems pretty obvious.

Tex also proved his value to the team and unfortunately as much as we love and want Fog to step to be a Tex replacement the reality is he just isnt anywhere near as good or impactful.

Pies paying 3.45 - 1 for the win under 40 points. Looks like good value considering:

• 3 days extra rest
• Crows playing in tight game on hard ground in Perth looked fatigued
• Game means more to Pies than us
• They have the wood over us and enjoy playing at AO

3 days extra rest is crazy scheduling for this time of year, when games are going to be critically important.

I think we will definitely struggle against Collingwood.

Burgess worthwhile on the list? He clearly showed today he isn’t an AFL footballer

He is a depth player yes, but I think he showed he can compete at the level, took some nice grabs, looked rock hard fit and led well. He is roughly around Himmelbergs standing, if he was any better he would be first 23 for another club.

Imo Burgess showed he is too slow for AFL level.

We would be better off trying either Murray up forward or going smaller with Nankervis.

I want Butts back. I think we played better when he was there. Murray is a bit kamikaze and throws out the balance IMO.

Agree with this but he’s only had one game back and is this enough? Definitely Jones and Burgess out for Tex and Dowling. A pity that Edward’s didn’t get picked when he was playing well. Is he being played out of position in the state league? Hopefully Peatling gets up

You can be slow when you have a good footy brain like Tex does. Burgess doesnt have Tex's footy brain. Hes a good SANFL player. The old style mark and kick full forward

Worth noting Drapers 2nd half on the weekend was pretty ordinary, and he spent a bit of time off the field in the last quarter due to a heavy knock to the shoulder. Did play the last part of the game, but I wouldnt be at all shocked if he got a week off for a spell.

Draper's composure and kicking needs work, trying to do too much and running himself into trouble thinking his speed can get him by when it has led to his rushed disposal...take the 1st option to dish off if not in the clear.

I do wonder if if we are trying to get him to balance up the kick/handball ratio. The last couple of weeks in particular the instinctive handball should have been given but he chose to kick.

If Peatling is out, give Curtin some more inside time and get Nankervis in, as well as Dowling for Jones.

Said before the WC game that Dowling, Nankervis, Edwards should play to see who can challenge for best finals 23. Hard to see Edwards getting a crack now but the other 2 can easily play.

Anyone for a Murray - Butts swap? Thought Jordon was playing really well before the injury. Muz hasn’t looked right since coming back.

I think they'll give Seymour one more week in the SANFL before he comes back. But, yes, I think Butts is a better defender, and Muzz looked like a deer in headlights yesterday. I sort of hope they do get rid of the sub next year, as I think we can be more flexible, with the fifth man on the bench being a tall....then we could play both - depending on how the game's panning out. Personally, as I quoted on the gameday thread, I'd like to see us try Muzz up fwd, whenever one of tall fwds are rested or injured, as I think he has the tools to be better up fwd assuming Butts is implanted in the backline!

He had opportunities when selected at the start of the year, and was shitful. I hope he gets back in form, as he could be a really good player.
