I get the feeling though that our lack of dominance will see Crouch come back in and somebody like Berry shuffle to the Sub role.

Burgess - Delivery was poor most of the day but even when it wasn't, Chris was. I felt for him, it was his one chance but he tightened up so badly.

Jones - 5 weeks as sub ?? Can't be easy. I spoke to a current player today and he said most players would've kicked up a fuss. Chayce doesnt. But its time to move on, and I hate saying it.

Murray - In a big final you cant have your 2 key defenders as ticking time bombs defensively. Keane offers more good than bad though.

Peatling - Assuming he's injured.

Tex - Self explanatory. The only good thing about today was that we didnt take him.

Dowling - You cant ignore a 40 and 2 game. You just cant.... or you shouldn't.

Butts - We lose a bit on offence, but we gain a solid defensive presence and a guy who knows his limitations.

Smith - in the event Peatling is managed, Smith takes the vest. Being realistic here rather than what id like to see, but we might see Crouch.

They've stuffed him around a bit in the last 5 weeks but even so.

But Chayce's issue isn't from too many games as sub. It's from lack of polish when he gets his chances, and unfortunate lack of weapons in general. He hasn't shown anything in his sub bursts to be able to provide 'spark', or demand a starting spot. With the quality of players below him (starting with Dowling), he should be going back to SANFL.

Aside from the lack of weapons. Hes quick, and hes a fairly good kick of the footy.

But he isn't and will never be a stoppage mid.

Walker and Dowling for Burgess and Jones are givens. Give Dowling a run as sub and see what he can do.

Murray vs Butts is an interesting one. I think I’m picking Butts. It may be that Murray is ahead of him next year but Butts was absolutely killing it before his injury and we’re going to run into some good forwards in the finals.

Murray is not awful or anything but I think that change also improves the side.

The last possible change is around Peatling’s spot. Maybe if he doesn’t come up we keep running Curtin through the middle and Dowling takes his wing minutes? Might open up another spot if that occurs.

We've pissed away games on Murphy and Jones this season, Nicks idiocy.

Would've love to see Draper with the team flying, Edwards should've gotten 3 or 4 instead of Smith.

Dowling should've gotten half a dozen games instead of Murphy and Jones.

This week picks itself Tex and Dowling in for Burgess and Jones, not even Nicks could stuff up selections this week
