LOL, it doesn’t matter what he was doing a few frames prior. What matters is what he’s doing at point of impact. He’s no longer trying to tackle or smother, he’s protecting himself in the collision and executing a hip and shoulder with contact made to oppo chin. That’s all that matters.

Howe is the most important player on that list.
Can't believe people are using injuries as an excuse as we have decent depth.
On the Melb 9 news last night they did say that De Goey didn't train. McCreery and Hill did train, but were not guaranteed apparently - both would be seen as a risk if played this week.
What is the story with Bobby Hill? He has missed a heap of football this year due to Illness and Personal Reasons.
Hill and McCreery provide speed and pressure in their front half. Their tall forwards, Mihocek, Memrey and McStay are a bit lumbering and they rely on Elliott to provide the X-factor. Michalanney and Laird are significant losses but this will be offset if both McCreery and Hill are missing.

Rachele is just important to us as Howe is to Collingwood.
I am not using it as an excuse. Just pointing out you are 100% wrong in stating that the Pies will be missing more key players than us.

DeGoey would be a big out. Same to us if Peatling doesn't recover from his Corky.

With Laird out suspended I fully expect Smith to come in. But they might play him as the Sub and send Cumming to the back flank.
Bring a player to cover Cummings wing. Draper, Dowling, Cook, Nank could all do it. I'd prefer Draper, but hard to deny Dowling his shot.

You obviously didnt see Rachele's form early in the year.
Scary thought, with Daicos pace and skill in traffic it could get ugly.

I'd back the kid in TBH. I think he's shown he can make a offensive players day very tough in every game he's played, and by all reports has the tank and physicality to go with anyone.
Plus he doesn't really need to stop Daicos getting the ball, he needs to impact Daicos in getting his preferred 2:1 uncontested to contested ratio. Stop him from being a part of all those free chains of play that leads to Collingwoods scores. Thats where Daicos kills teams IMO.
Watching him run around like an unregistered dog against us has been a real source of frustration to me.
Yeh, I guess. Just pessimistic given we simply do not know how to beat Collingwood. The record is disgusting.

Elliot is their most dangerous forward and despite height it’s more aerially than ground ball
If bond goes to Elliot they push him deep and isolate him , bond struggled with Liam Ryan aerially last week
Worrell to Elliot for me , Bond on the smalls which he can do a job on
