Far to kind to Crouch. Midfield was thrashed.

Always hard giving votes in a loss. He was good outside of clearances. And flew the flag when Rankine went down. Gets points from me.

Until tonight, I hadn't noticed how much Berry fumbles --- that's a sign of hearing footsteps or a lack of composure, or both.
Seriously disappointing.

Noticed it since he started playing, thought/hoped it might go with time in the AFL.. it's a shitshow.

First half was a real arm wrestle, but I could see during that 3rd quarter we were losing any grip we had in controlling the game. Those two goals in the last where they scored another goal off a free kick from the first was when we looked incapable of winning. It was a tough watch, but that is footy!

I don't think those two help us make the 8.

When/if it causes guys like Murphy to not be best 22 guys or keeps the Smith/Jones types out for an entire season it can only help us.

Add in pick 4, we have talent, enough to make the 8 next year if we have some more competent coaching next year. Our trouble will be having an administration ruthless enough not to let that be a pass mark for a season.

Or were we missing something bigger and stronger through the guts?

If we can get both that's great but let's be careful.

If you can get a gun midfielder with #4 and still get Lukocius then absolutely. He would have been a damned sight better than Gollant

ROB getting smacked by a bloke who wasn't even playing last season
Laird- he has never been in the leadership group and is clearly just out there for himself. Diabolical tonight in crucial moments
Nank didn't cope with the pressure, that's OK he is still young and hopefully learnt from the experience
Fog losing his mind post rankine going off, fly the flag for sure but keep your head
Berry fumbles so much, if he wants to go let him
Gollant just can't get involved at the level, perfect opportunity tonight but didn't do much, post Tex era looks scary. Sign him up thanks

Umpiring which we got the run of early and then they got the run of it late. No free for the bump that knocked out Rankine is a joke

Houston bump / seeing Rankine not in a good way. Hopefully he gets 6 weeks, made a big error trying to be physical.

Our response post Rankine incident was pretty average, lost our minds.
