Do you think the Crows will bring Sid Draper into the 23 this week?

What’s the Sid pass mark so Nicksy doesn’t default back to Murphy’s 10 disposals and -6 meters gained?

20 & 1?
30 & 2?

There’s surely a tax applied isn’t there?

Eh, probably 8 disposals and a couple of tackles. It's what Taylor has survived on for the last 8 or so weeks, and a good indication how desperate we are for literally anything out of these slots.

Yeah you did, you also said it was his lowest possession count for the year, wrong.

You also failed to take into account when citing his average that he’s also played midfield.

You also pointed out Murphy was there to limit run from defence and I pointed out Daicos had 8 rebound 50s and above his average, as was his disposal efficiency.

You also made note that he had a lot of kick outs, he had 4.

You also ignored the ball was parked at the opposite end of the ground.

Basically I countered your points and you ignored it.

Daicos played ok, he would have played better had he had some midfield time or they didn’t double our inside 50s.

As for rent free, I’d say those who criticise the club live rent free in your head and your need for self promotion and adulation is disturbing.
The Nicks/Murphy Derangemeny Syndrome is strong.

Josh Daicos is a very good player but his output was significantly below his best.

Uncontested Possessions - Josh Daicos is at the very top end of defenders for uncontested possessions. Prior to last week he was equal number one for Collingwood, along with his brother, with just over 19 uncontested possessions a match. Last week Nick Daicos was number one for Collingwood with 16 uncontested possessions, Josh Daicos was equal 11th with 8 uncontested possessions. This was less than half of his season average…………COINCIDENCE?

Inside 50s - Prior to last week Josh Daicos was third for inside 50s for Collingwood. Last week he had ONE inside 50, only four Collingwood players had no inside 50s.

Josh maintained his season average of 6 contested possessions.

This is exactly the profile for a defender being tagged. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck it must be Nicks/Murphy Derangement Syndrome.

So you’ll just ignore the rest of my points.

You’re the one creating the story re Murphy and Nicks, this is on you

Dont be a Ciao - there is no way Murphy applied a hard tag

You only have to watch the replay to see this
Murphy didn't apply a hard tag, he had a run with role on Josh Daicos.

I know this because I was there and watched the replay, he did a decent job stopping Daicos running around doing as he pleases.

If we end up playing Brisbane, Murphy might come back in to check Zorko :!!:

I don't like Murphy in the team, but I get why he was picked and why he isn't playing this week (North have 16 mids and Caleb Daniel can't hit the side of a barn).

Always been a red flag with Harry - he slices the ball nearly every time he kicks it.
I remember the kick went way ootf to Dawson's Left., with all of Dawson, Kelly and Nicks unimpressed as well as everyone else @ the ground and on TV (not Mugpie fans of course).
I thought it was greasy-ball syndrome.
It it's an ongoing problem it's either
--- a ball-drop issue, or
--- outside-in kicking action
which you'd think would be fixable at this level, yeah?

Felt so flat and disappointed with all the Rankine debacle all week but the inclusion of Draper and Dowling has got me excited again.

Go you Crows!!

Oh...and wouldn't it be a shame if Collingwood gets smashed by Melbourne tonight!
I want Pickett to be visibly on Houston's case all night

But he’s put us in such an awkward spot now. If he plays well then we keep him, but his only AFL game for the year is a dead rubber against North before a week off and then he’s in a QF.

Not enough forward planning at selection once again I feel.

When is there forward planning for your 19-22 spots? Forward planning is all about maximising the output of your stars, not the irrelevant/system part of your lineup. Mind you, as this week showed, forward planning can be made moot by a self-inflicted wound. After all, our forward planning was increasing the chances that Rankine was able to dominate this finals series.

In regards to Dowling, at the moment he's a role player so who cares? If Billy's good enough, he'll take his chances regardless how awkward it is, if he isn't, there are plenty of other Billy Dowling level players out there who may.

It was an absolute slog fest with 36 players around the ball, many stoppages. Of course his uncontested possessions will be down.

If he’s being effectively tagged, how is it he had 8 rebound 50s, above his season average? Shouldn’t the tagger stop him rebounding not increasing his rebound? What about disposal efficiency, shouldn’t he be under that much pressure it’s actually lower than his average?

You see you can pluck stats out of your backside to support your argument, well so can I. Mine are particularly telling when you posted Murphy reduced his rebound from defence, my stats show the opposite. You also exaggerated the number of his disposals were from kickouts, a lie. Lowest possession count for the year, another lie. Worst game of the year, another lie.

But the big one is how his game was impacted by the lack of our inside 50s and how much the ball spent at the other end of the ground.

As for syndromes, is there a condition which covers someone with a very high opinion of themselves and they want everyone to ask them they about it? I think there is an acronym for it, can you recall it?

Just last week, they should have picked Sid instead of Murphy, knowing that Sid might need to be a part of our finals set up.

They should have given that quarter of footy to Dowling instead of Schoenberg. What was the point of that? Did they really need to see another dominant SANFL performance to know that Billy was ahead in the pecking order over Harry? That quarter of finals like pressure could have been invaluable to prepare Dowling for the next month. Instead we gave it to Schoenberg for as far as I can tell was a last hurrah for him?

Last week, they 100% should have been thinking “who are the players we might need in finals?” And picked them.

4 minute video

Please take the time and spot Murphy running across Daicos , blocking his lines or hard tag

Please

That Vision iis a perfect illustration of what Murphy was supposed to do (he didn’t succeed every time). Often Josh Daicos is a free target against other teams and against us earlier in the year. The idea is to have his “tagger” within a couple of metres of him when Collingwood have the ball. Since it was wet, slippery conditions there is an increased level of risk using him.

My frustration was that after our first win against Collingwood in a decade AND winning our 12th game at Adelaide Oval this season AND locking in a top Two spot, I went to the GBU thread. Was it a celebration of what we have achieved? Was it a discussion about the tactics used by both sides? NO, there was a bunch of posts boasting “Hey, look at me, I told you Murphy was shit”.

So sad, the lives of some people.

Regarding the video, that was probably the most interesting aspect of the game. In matches against other top nine teams it has been very rare this year for either side to use a plus one in defence. The last main example was when we played Geelong. Eventually both teams went back to the early 2020s with a plus one for both sides. It looked like we initially held an extra man at the stoppages but once Collingwood got on top we decided to use a plus one in defence. I will be surprised if we have an extra man in defence this week and even more surprised if we “tag” any of their defenders.

Just occurred to me that we're going hear some of the worst commentary imaginable tomorrow

It's gonna be Dwayne or Kelli. Or both. Probably with Dermie.

How many in a bunch you reckon? Stabbys was the 4th to mention Murphy.

It’s a Good Bad and the Ugly thread, Murphy’s 1 metre gained was ugly.

It’s ironic that you are calling posters sad with “look at me posts”. It’s literally how you post.

Someone in this team needs to stand up and show something.
Dawson, Worrell, Keane and Tex won't be able to lift us single handedly.

Thilthorpe, Curtin, Rachele (hopefully back W1), Soligo, Fog.
You're the new wave. Time to stand up.
I'm confused by this post.

You don't think Thilthorpe has stood up when we have needed to this year, particularly in the past month?

Other 3 have also been important at crucial times.

I reckon Peds isn't reliable in finals - cannot trust his body, and isn't defensive enough in the forwards, with insufficient hurt factor to make up for it. Hope I'm wrong, but I think the game has passed him by
Pedlar kicked 3 goals in his last game.

He likes it when the heat is on & imo will be suited to finals pressure.
