Just means we're a threat - but even if we win the next couple I can still see opposition supporters claiming we've had a soft draw and not faced anyone of note.A serious amount of hate (potentially some trolling too) towards the Crows in the match day thread on the MB I haven’t seen for quite a while! Not even from North supporters either.
People must actually fear playing us again, nice.
That play involving our recent first rounders was definitely my favourite goal of the game.THE FUTURE - on display
Third quarter highlight - Curtin beats three NM players to gather ball, dribble kick to Thillthorpe who handballs to Draper - GOAL
What a bloody momentum killer that shocker of a decision was!The holding the ball against him was a total raffle though. Immediately preceded by several other rolls of the dice on tackles, and the worlds most random adjudication of a 15m kick.
Sorry. Thought I was replying to StonesThrow who said ....What?
I think we'll win 2 of the 3.Sorry. Thought I was replying to StonesThrow who said ....

You know exactly what he means. What?
It was not a snick or a glancing blow.Funny thing is tv crew said nothing and it obviously hit post

.I feel like umpires lose their bearings at timesThat whole passage of play and then the decision against Sholl was just insane umpiring. It's the sort of stuff that puts people off the game due to inconsistency.
It sort of felt scripted with the umpire thinking, 'yeah I'll pay that one and really rile everybody up', just for the drama...
Walker has had some patches this season when it looks like the game is passing him by but he's then bounced back with some trademark smarts, touch and skill.
He was very good after a shaky start yesterday. Clunked a couple of nice marks, party trick F50 ruckwork on show
Do we give him the Gold Coast trip off?
Six day break into the Gold Coast game, followed by a five day break into Gather Round. Too much if we're expecting full games from him? Nine day break after that, home to GWS.
My son and I were watching it on TV and were confused as well. Took a massive deviation and the Channel 7 commentary didn't even give a hint of a reaction that it might have hit the post. We thought we must have been imagining things.Yeah.
My mate and I were sitting behind the shot and were stunned when it was signalled a goal then two-flagged.
It hit the R-inside of the L post and deviated at least half a metre.
David King raised a good point on First Crack last night that if he’s playing the 3rd forward option role what he does is brilliant especially in terms of score involvements as he said the the 3rd option in all teams actually doesn’t touch the ball that much in all other teams (Which is true but Tex still had moments yesterday where he jumped in front of Thilthorpe and Fogarty thinking he was still the main man down there, just needs to pull his head in at those times).Walker has had some patches this season when it looks like the game is passing him by but he's then bounced back with some trademark smarts, touch and skill.

Trying to make 21st century decisions with outdated technologyOh yeah no issues there, just interesting that it’s not clear in the frames.
Pretty sure commentators on kayo saw it straight away and were laughing at fog for celebratingMy son and I were watching it on TV and were confused as well. Fog was telling everyone to reset for the kick in - he was one of the few who seemed to acknowledge that it had hit the post.Pretty sure commentators on kayo saw it straight away and were laughing at fog for celebrating
Pretty kind to Fog mate. 6 possessions and both goals were Joe the goose recipients. Wasn’t a big game for the Fog after a lively first 2 weeksGood

Laird

Fog
Draper
Curtin
Hinge
Dirty day
Dawson
Pathetic
Milera - just a weak defender
Sholl - learn how to tackle you soft coxk.. just hopeless all day with the softest tackle attempts you’ll ever see. Total liability
ROB - you arent a talented footballer and you arent a midfielder once the ball gets on the ground.. you need to get out of the talented guys way..
And our seniors like laird and keays need to stop calling for the footy when the player that has it is a better decision maker, is in a better position and has more talent.
The maaggot umpires.
It's been about 336 hours of joy and happiness and I'm wary that we still haven't beaten a good team and might be getting ahead of ourselves.Sorry. Thought I was replying to StonesThrow who said ....

Has to be touched still though?
Yep.A serious amount of hate (potentially some trolling too) towards the Crows in the match day thread on the MB I haven’t seen for quite a while! Not even from North supporters either.

Yep, still kicking over here. Hope all is well your wayIt was not a snick or a glancing blow.
The ball hit the post hard. The kicker (Fog? ANB) and all behind him saw it hit the post and waited for the kick-in.
Two fingers, two flags.
I don't recall where the goal Umpire was standing. Worst non-call of a point I've ever seen.
(fwiw, I thought the Tex L-foot snap kicking N. was touched j-u-s-t inside the line of the post padding --- a point, but very close call)
How've you been, mate, all good?
I couldn't hear the commentary because I was helping my kids with something in another room, and as such had the Ch 7 feed on at that point. Saw it deviate massively and thought "Bugger." Then looked back a few seconds later and saw them go to ads. I was sitting there like... huh? I started thinking "Did it just happen to hit part of the stand that looked like it was right behind the post?" Felt like I was taking crazy pills. It was not a snick or a glancing blow.

St. Kilda’s last 2 games have looked alrightIt's been about 336 hours of joy and happiness and I'm wary that we still haven't beaten a good team and might be getting ahead of ourselves.
We can only beat who we play, and to be honest just doing that convincingly in different ways is a step up on last year. Looking at the first 4 weeks pre-season I had us 2-2, winning home and losing away. The honeymoon is over now though. Hard work time starts. It's been about 336 hours of joy and happiness and I'm wary that we still haven't beaten a good team and might be getting ahead of ourselves.
