Gold Coast away would have to be one of the hardest road trips going around at the moment. As long as we’re competitive I wouldn’t be too upset about losing that game.

We then just need to win 1 of 2 against the Giants and Cats at home and we’ll be 4 and 2 before we get an easier run with Freo, Port and Geelong.
The good news is Gold Coast haven’t won a game at home yet this season.

The bad was mostly the friggin umpiring. 😱

The good is that we no longer rely on anyone on a given day to kick big bags as it seems most of our mids/ forwards can all kick goals on any given day. 3 consecutive games over the 100 scores, it’s not something to scoff at. It’s a sign we’re becoming a well-drilled unit.

I haven’t been following the preseason much, but I’m very excited to see more of Curtin and Draper. Both look like real weapons in the coming years!

Wtf is the noise about Keane going down front page of news.com.au?

Game is stopped. North player pushes Keane while not expecting any contact (because the game is stopped). Yet blaming Keane? Why not the player making unnecessary contact?

Jeez I know Vics hate the Crows but would have thought we’d have at least a year of being up before the vindictive attacking from the media happened. 3 games in from doing a proper rebuild without ANY priority picks, but instead of how great we’ve clawed our way out of bottom 4, it’s ’staging’, ‘can’t keep ess to under 100 points’ etc.

It is not cheating, that is a bit much (well maybe Leigh Haussen, cause he is a spud and a well known crow hater), but they did have a shocker on HTB, not consistent at all.
it’s bias bordering on cheating. Almost seemed like most of the 50/50 calls went their way.

But to be honest, it makes me even more pleased to see a good win against the umpiring tide. It shows genuine grit in the current side.

I stopped following the preseason a few weeks ago

Tough game for our backline, yet they were superb.

Such a tight unit, and don't panic under pressure.

Credit to Laird. Preseasin he looked past it. But last two games has really shown why he was an AA defender.

Milera, the weak link here.
Our backline was superb?

Thought Milera, Keane & Borlase were well beaten.

Hinge & Laird were superb.

Max & Woz solid as usual.

I thought Rob competed hard. He wasn't beaten today imho
Yeah, I was happy that ROB probably split honours today with a quality ruckman.

Some great taps to advantage... but also some weird taps to disadvantage.

I am criticised as a ROB hater by my family.

Was at the game today and there was no way he was one of our worst.

Over the course of the game i reckon he had the better of Xerri and that was immensely helpful for the result today.

I reserve the right to unfairly criticise him in future games.....

Walker has been better than I thought. Long season though.

Has been very good but even Kane Cornes said Tex will kick goals

I think Jonathon Brown probably summed it up best. There is no doubt all our forwards will contribute its just if the sum of all parts will work against the best. We are yet to see that but the signs are good.

They’ve got king, Reid and Walter is a unit.
Butts has to come in to take King.

I would keep Keane over Borlase, but he would want to play better or risk making way when Murray is fit.

TBF - it was pretty soft from Keane

I thought Hinge, Max and Worrell were amongst our best. Laird surprised me and played well.

Keane had a down game in my view but wasn't our worst.

Borlase struggled except when he could run and punch. I.am still yet to see anything that suggest ls he is good depth.

I want Milera to be good but he just gets lost and often doesn't compete in the contest. I can see what else he brings to the team so maybe he just needs to keep getting a run of games.
