Weve both played bottom 5 clubs thoughHas to be pretty close given both teams form to this point in 2025.
This week's game vs Gold Coast puts the top two ranked teams (overall season rating) against one-another.Match of the round ?? Steady on.

Then what is the answer? Butts isn’t (or he’d already be in the team). He’s glacial slow and his decision making is poor). Perhaps we have to use Worrell or Nankervis in a teaming situation against King (one playing the intercept)?Neither are Keane or Borlase for King.
Butts IS NOT glacial slow, that is just plain wrong, athletically he's far superior to Borlase both pace wise and endurance wise. There's NFI and then there's your post. Then what is the answer? Go on then...who do you have?Match of the round ?? Steady on.
I reckon the latter will be a good one, well it needs to be for Freo anyway. There’s not much else going on though. Pies v Blues and Dockers v Dogs are the only rivals.
Freo and the Dogs probably has bigger ramifications for the loser. 2 talented side, the home side underachieving so far this season and the away side playing above where their current 22 might have had them.Go on then...who do you have?
If you say Carlton Collingwood, I'll probably throw up in my mouth. The only one that would come remotely close to our game is Freo Bulldogs and that's a distant second.

Taylor would seem the best replacement for Rachele IMO.Let's all use our combined powers, pray to whatever god(s) you might worship or think of at the time, use your positive affirmations - hell, break out the crystals if you have to - but let's ensure Murphy doesn't replace Rachele in some twisted, macabre version of like for like.
Milera had a rough game but was great the week before, #7 in touches and #6 in metres gained. He probably stays in on the back of that but Nank has to come in, just has to. Draper took his opportunities in attack last week, Rankine obviously knows his way around the forward line, as does Soligo. Maybe Nank comes in to join the wing/HB rotations and we cover Rachele with our midfield rotations? I don't think GC will love seeing more Rankine forward.
Be rough to drop Borlase after he again was very effective coming in and not sure he and Butts in the same defence suit our current game plan of full ground attack. Odd how he moves like an adrift ocean liner but his man never seems to get away from him. Keane plays 100% with Murray out, hopefully not on King though. Be good to get him a bit more involved in play.
Berry, Pedlar and Schoey have no place in this team until/unless they can consistently hit targets, which may be never for them - this game plan just doesn't allow it. Dowling, Taylor and even maybe Edwards in front of them.
Hopefully Oscar Ryan has gone past Chayce and Smith for wing/HB depth, he looks a player.
Resting Tex would be a terrible sense of theatre and occasion on our biggest day of the season so far.
Easy this week: Out: Rachele inj. In: Nankervis
Why do people think Butts is slow? Not the case at all. Unless there's a lot of space, almost never beaten on the lead. Also has a very high disposal efficiency - granted he never bites off a risky option but he knows his game. Then what is the answer? Butts isn’t (or he’d already be in the team). Watching Freo is about as exciting as washing the dishes.Freo and the Dogs probably has bigger ramifications for the loser. 2 talented side, the home side underachieving so far this season and the away side playing above where their current 22 might have had them.

Its 2000KM away, which is about 2.5-3 hours depending on tailwinds etc. They will also most likely get a late flight back Saturday night as well.A long flight? Is GC’s home ground in South America?

Its a while for a 194cm man trying to recover and then play again at the highest level, then fly back and play a game 5 days later.
In terms of quality of the teams playing, how could it not be MOTR?Match of the round ?? Steady on.

Either the match up of 2 young, exciting & unbeaten teams that play fast, offensive football or a game between 2 chronic underperformers - one of which plays a dour game style and the other missing their biggest star.
Even Joel Hamling would watch the Crows Suns game.
If he needs the rest, I would rest Tex this week.Should be looking to be smart about managing Tex for around 4 games, particularly when we have shorter breaks.
Against weaker opponents like West Coast would be preferable where possible.
He should be resting for both. Tex should not be boarding any flights to QLD, WA, or TAS before the finals. If you insist on resting him why wouldn’t it be the Freo match. Atleast by then the season is a couple of months in. The season is only 15 days old at this point.
Ross Lyon put the clamps on him quite successfully last year via Marcus Windhager, Swans/Longmire have employed James Jordan as a tagger ever since they recruited him from the Demons, there is always a role for a tagger if they're good at it IMO.Rowell had 9 centre clearances on the weekend and 13 in total. Playing their first game at home this week. He's going to get plenty of it.
