I'm not convinced ROB in ruck for 30% of the time would be better than literally anyone else on the list. It's fine to lose a tap. Chayce Jones could even be a better ruck than ROB...

Who has the highest leap on the list? Nick Murray would be a good back up ruck, but his knees would get destroyed.

We don't try enough unusual ideas though. Running with an extra midfielder when mcandrew rests could be an option, for example.

Reckon Thilthorpe is banged up too.
Yep. you only had to look at his face before play.

I'm puzzled about him too. I really find it hard to believe that he got the bad back by flying over to Perth.
Is it possible that he did this in one of the Crows cricket matches? Does he bowl? It should be forbidden for AFL players to bowl in cricket matches, I think. Bowlers' back would be a disaster.

He was visibly limping at one stage the other night as well as holding his shoulder.

Why would he have been in Perth ??

Bit of match sim today.

A team featured Keays, Berry, Thilthorpe, Rachele, Murray, Dawson, Walker, Soligo, Cook, Max, Bond, Rankine, Peatling, ANB, Laird, Milera, Borlase, Maley, McAndrew, Cumming

No Worrell there today but assuming he plays, two spots left to fill. Surely my boy Milk is one of them especially given the loss of Pedlar.

Smells like a back the boys in to respond against a bottom side.

Laird was all good injury wide?

Indeed, even with Pedlar out there should of been at least three changes.

Tex wont be but should be in the conversation as well. He kicked a goal in the last but looked way off and a liability. If he cant defend he needs to be having alot of impact when he has it.

it will be good to get the win but it will frustrate me next week when we hear about how well we are going.

It'd be a smart move to have Zac Taylor take a more prominent attacking role. He's been more assured with his disposals this year, but also quieter overall. So it's a good time to both trust him more, and demand more out of him than just being a structural presence.

It would make the midfield/forward minutes juggling act with Keays/Rachele/Rankine easier at the very least.

Holy shit, people want everyone dropped for the kids like we are in the middle of a rebuild. Snowballs chance in hell Tex is dropped and absolutely shouldn't be.

For players Nicks deems 'Best 23', on a selection scale of 1 = highly reactive, pay the price for one bad performance to 10 = continuity credits, back the boys in, they do their best when under zero selection to perform, where is Nicks.

I reckon he's a 9.9. If you're a senior player you can spud up with mediocrity for months.

Meanwhile youngsters rot in the SANFL.

Where that scale should be is a philosophical question but I'm think around a 6 or 7. Yes, senior players have theoretically earnt the right for some selection grace as everyone can play the odd bad game BUT gee I wonder where the performance complacency and mediocrity that plagues this club comes from? When the pressure is, we go to water...and they know they can mail it in and keep their spot forevermore. Joke of a match committee.

What you are suggesting isn't done by any club though. And funnily enough is also rewarding mediocrity just the other way around which has a massive scope to backfire. I agree the likes of Dowling and Edwards should be getting a run but why at the expense of senior players whose bad games are still outperforming depth in the side. Why should the likes of Tex and Keays be considered when their bad games are still more impactful than the typical Bond, Jones, Pedlar game. Especially when these experience heads have the proven capability yo turn games on their heads.

The only thing I seemingly agree with people on here is that Dowling and Edwards should get a run, I just think that should be at the expense of Bond, Taylor, Pedlar etc etc.

Im aware champion data stats aren't well loved but our lowest rated players so far this year that have played at least 2 games are: Bond (almost negligible impact, and it shows imo), Pedlar (same), Maley, Fogarty, Jones.

I said he won't be but just about any other player with that output and no defensive game would be. He had another shocking game but plenty of credits in the bank

Yeh, 1 poster mentioned Tex, people have largely focussed on Jones and ROB. Pedlar would have featured if not for his concussion. Maybe just stick to what’s actually being posted.
