Embarrassing performance today. Missing a lot of players but that's no excuse, we weren't smashed like this with a similar team in earlier rounds

Couple of things are really apparent with our team.

1) We are not well drilled. A lot of our team's success has relied on pure footy talent but when it comes down it, things aren't going our way, and our best players are out... we just don't have a baseline of well drilled skills to fall back on.

Our second tier players easily miss short handballs, short kicks, unpressured disposals and most crucially MARKS with ease. We can tackle and run (sometimes) but we're really being let down by these basics when we can't just palm the ball off to Randall or Phillips.

Hatchard is the only player that looks like she's actually worked on skills. Marinoff has gone backwards, her disposal is pure s**t

2) We have too many bog average older players and not enough speedy youth. If we're going to field a team with poor skills, I don't see why we are playing or recruiting 25+ year olds with no improvement left, over youth.

Juniors can still tackle and run, and we might be able to develop some skills out of it. But we are carrying far too many mid-age to senior players who aren't that good. I'm thinking Forth, Li and Gum primarily, but also draftees like Campbell. She's 26 and she sucks. Throw in very average seasons from players like Thompson and yeah. Rachelle Martin, a 20 year old, has looked better than all of these players and she's not even on our list!

Lots of teams have introduced a bunch of very young, quick midfield players and we're too busy recruiting Campbell, Gum and tall, slow youth

yep agree with everything, I’ll give a break to Forth she’s been alright, Gum turned it on for 1 game and hasn’t looked like it since.

Like everything else at the club they’ve taken their eye off the women’s team/program this year (at least it was after 2 flags), a real sense of zero care factor from all involved this season.

Posted in the main thread about how despite the 2 flags the lead in preparation, training and development of the team is probably the worst in the AFLW now.

She played 1 match for NT Thunder last year

Injury? Ebony has been good but her poor use by foot will result in new players going past her at a rate of knots if she doesn’t improve between seasons.

Judging by her Instagram she went on a massive European holiday in late May through late July
