Soapy V on the main board said LOB wasn’t considered due to injury. Must have picked up something in the scratch match v saints. Might be one of the reasons we only had 12. Or we could have been running around with two saint spuds and a man short.
Soapys back huh

He'd know. That last match against St. Kilda had us three 'healthy' players not participating.
Seems that O'Brien was one of them then and I wonder who the other two were.

O'Brien looked in full flight from the training pics yesterday. Didn't look injured.

Come back home Soapy, we need more positivity around here. And that main board is low society.

I think you just volunteered for monitoring Soapys posts and passing on any interesting insights

BOM predicting 10-15mm of rain on Sunday, starting from the afternoon and early evening.

I reckon we definitely see Fish in for Philp. If the forecast is correct (we can wait until game day to make this call), I reckon we also see Kennedy in for H.

I think our tall forwards are one of our biggest strengths against the Dogs, but if it buckets down I can’t see us needing all 3. The game will be played on the ground and Kennedy is, at least, a big body that is difficult to move off the ball.

On Simmo, subject to him carrying an injury, I think he plays for the next two weeks - a 10 day break and then a 7 day break. After that, the rumours are that we see a compressed fixture (potentially games happening every 4-5 days for teams) and, at that point, expect to see Simmo and others managed.

I don't care who is in as long as we win.

Although if Polson comes in and doesn't play a blinder in whatever role they'd give him, it'll be microwaves and membership at full bore.

Sorry for the intrusion.

All the best for Sunday, but obviously I want a Dogs win with no injuries to either side.

Don't think our sides are separated by a great deal and much will depend on attitude and who is switched on and is coping better with everything that is happening.

I like Carltons list and there is talent, grunt and a little bit of unknown in the list in a positive way. You have shown glimpses of what you can do and then there are games where you have gone missing for parts of it so a 4 quarter effort will get you more wins and get reward for the list you have.

I think this is a 50/50 game for both sides and not much difference in the sides on paper.

All the best

Jeez Bevo is good...AFL should be listening to him over Clarko...his thoughts re: rule changes are right on point from his presser...AFL should be looking at ways to pay less free kicks rather than more, that's what the fans want...

I assume I am in the majority when I say I get much more frustrated at 50/50 free kicks that get paid against us than those that are missed for us...I even get frustrated when 50/50 free kicks get paid in our favour...

Not the umpires fault at all by the way, it is the AFL forcing all these different rules and 'interpretations' on them, mostly 'on the fly' - should be instructed to err on the side of not paying frees rather than paying them...let the players play and only call the 'obvious' ones...
And it shits me when the "obvious " ones are missed for us. ..

Sorry if mentioned but Simmo on extended bench, thus maybe the old fella may not come up and CP comes in for him? Clubs likely to play many games on quick back ups this season, old fellas to be preserved , think Burgoyne being rested by Dawks this week. This might explain why LOB and Stocker not emergencies, CP seen more as a specialist back pocket and a better Daniel match up

Still doesn’t make much sense to me, if Simmo was rested, Polson is not the one I’d put in, doesn’t Daniel back down back?

Bulldogs have plenty of pacy small forwards wouldn't surprise if we brought in a pacy small defender.

I don't mind trying Polson as a small defender. Might release SPS back into the midfield.
