I wish Apeness had ticked off whatever KPIs you need to tick off to be considered for selection. I don't want Kersten or Cox in, and I don't see the reason to play a defensive forward on McGovern when they also have Hurn and Barrass down there in form that can also intercept mark. Obviously our best hope still is to get well on top in the midfield and lower the eyes. Failing that we need a pack crasher, not Kersten.

Long answer - no, i don't think so.

Not as strong mark, clearly not as good a kick for goal but pretty much the same in ruck or perhaps a touch better. The most like for like change we had other than Cox. No major surprise and if his back is ok he could certainly have an impact around the ground - kicks the occasion nice goal.

Maybe but its more of a structural thing, Need someone who can ruck (Johnson) and someone who can play forward(Kersten)

Duman can't do either of these. So he filled his role and did it well and he knows he is next cab off the rank.
