It’s a personal tragedy for Dawson, and he quite rightly gets time off.

The rest of the club will no doubt offer support and feel bad for their mate, but beyond that it’s business as usual for them.

That’s one of the pitfalls about owning your own business. Every decision falls upon your shoulders and at distressing times like the Dawson family has just gone through you have to juggle so many things.

My brother died from a drug overdose and police knocked on our door to tell us. We kept on going and cleaned out his flat, held the funeral and finalised all of his affairs. It was about 3 months until it hit me. My boss gave me a week off when he passed, and then noticed I was struggling with work and extra stuff and gave me an additional fortnight off to deal with my grief. He didn’t have to but his kindness certainly helped with my work performances.

Condolences to you and your family regarding your sister. Death is never easy and an individual thing.

Thank you mate. I totally lost it about a month later whilst walking the hounds with the missus. Was out of nowhere as far as I was concerned, but she’d been waiting, she knew it was coming.

It’s terrible, that someone sees no better way forward, but reality is that the pain they feel is insurmountable. Who is anyone else to demand they continue to endure it.

Anyway, I’m done on the topic, too many buffoons with zero perspective. But thank you.
