I heard the only game that Murray has watched of the Adelaide Crows in the past 10 years was round 13 against Richmond.

My sources say he actually called Nicks and told him to never play the soon to be uncontracted Ned again.
My sources say it was as a precondition of him coming to Adelaide

Sensible changes, providing that Rachele is 100% healed.

Would have been happy to see Tex get a rest as well to keep him fresh for the long season.
If we happen to be well ahead part way ino the 3rd quarter, sub tex out to protect him might be the go obviously depending on any in game injury to others etc

I guess there is no doubt who the selectors regard as our best 23.

The only change change from Round one has been
In - Nankervis
Out - Sholl

I said at the start of February that our best 23 for Round One had Nankervis and Sholl in and both Butts and Milera in the Twos for a month since they were returning from major injuries. Milera has taken a while to find form, as expected, but has looked better the last couple of weeks.

Imho, the other players who quite a few posters considered borderline selections have either been dropped (Sholl) have justified their selection (Laird, Hinge, Milera, Crouch) or are developing Kids (Draper and Curtin). ROB wasn’t a borderline proposition in February because we only had one ruckman at that time.

No doubt we will find out more when injuries / illness / suspensions occur. I am delighted that Taylor is next in line and I hope that Dowling, Edwards, Ryan and Bond get a chance if an opportunity arises.

Ribs are different. With a leg the test is easy, it’s just mobility. With ribs you can’t test without genuine physical impact.
They are, but given they didn't risk Fogarty I'm more confident in the decision to play Rachele.

4 weeks for fractured ribs is about right, we'll soon find out.

Or losing Fog saw them take a risk with Rachele. I'm probably a bit rib averse TBH. I dislocated my shoulder a few times, returned to play earlier than I should have, but it never impacted how you play. If not for the scar on my shoulder I'd barely remember it. But I remember breaking ribs, being in sheer agony by accidentally taking a deeper breath. That moment of terror when you realise a sneeze is upcoming.

I think it'd be prudent to rest both Fog and Rachele (even if Rachele claims to be pain-free).
They could even test Rachele in the SANFL if Burgo saw value in that.

That would be a good challenge for our depth + any improvement in Nicks' plans/strategy (<== see, I can be hopeful/optimistic davos44 :sneaky:).

Winning away without Fog/Rach. would be a morale- and confidence-booster, then we get them back to hammer Carlton then the ferals at home.
My constant campaigning for belief/patience in Nicks is paying off! 1 down 69893 more Crows supporters to go :D
