Burns is a fraud, his record speaks for itself. Similar to Nicks.Burns is even more uninspiring than Nicks, if that's possible
I thought that Podsiadly did a good job while he was here, it was a shame he didn’t hang around for long.Burns is a fraud, his record speaks for itself. Similar to Nicks.
Everyone celebrated when we moved on our hack coaches a few years ago but we havent tried to improve since. Instead we lost good coaches like Rahilly. The bad ones stay and we haven't nailed the replacements.
Davis and Balme will be great but they need some time to fix this coaching mess.
David Teague wasn't bad either, just not a very good senior coach.I thought that Podsiadly did a good job while he was here, it was a shame he didn’t hang around for long.

Keeping good assistant coaches is a bit of an issue West of Geelong. Not all that well paid, still high pressure so you end up going local and cheaper, or guys who've been around the block and don't have senior coach ambitions.
I think complacency creeps in as well if they don’t have senior ambitions. The players themselves are the problem. Yes, the club enables the behaviour, but the culture of senior player entitlement is real. And don’t think that Tex isn’t using his significant influence behind the scenes to get Smith into the 22, or keep Crouch in etc etc. it’s a failed culture of Neil Craig disciples, hopefully Balme can eradicate it. Tex needs to go, VB needs to go, anyone that has anything to do with serial failure Neil Craig needs to go. We need to start from scratch.
Teague was one I was hoping we'd reach back out to when he left Richmond, but I doubt we even asked (and he probably doesn't want to leave Melbourne either).David Teague wasn't bad either, just not a very good senior coach.

It all goes back to Neil Craig.
Draper was dropped for Fog mate.
Berry for Crouch
Butts for Murray

OK champNot well paid? Absolute rubbish, these guys are on $200k/year+. It’s media, coaching or scanning groceries at $45k/year. And going cheaper is crap, there’s a cap, it needs to be spent, going cheaper ie Godden, is simply stupidity.
I'm no Smith fan by any stretch of the imagination, but is it that difficult to see why? Hinge is out which is a tonne of experience out the door so they're no doubt worried about the stability of the backline. Smith also has decent leg speed, very similar to Hinge. If you're talking like-for-like attributes (not in terms of actual quality) with experience then he'll be in consideration. The game is metres gained in that position, and Milera is having a shocker bringing the ball down the ground and keeps passing it sideways (132 metres gained......)
Nankervis just doesn't look great in that position off HB, Curtin doesn't have the speed, we don't want to swing Dawson into that position or we'll simply get murdered in the middle with Cripps/Hewett/Cerra combo...
I'm all for giving Edwards a debut but this coaching group won't take the risk in an inexperienced kid over Smith, ain't gonna happen. Like I've said previously Crows rebuild is done, and giving players games to blood them when they're an unknown quantity isn't going to happen unless they are in a CLEAR vein of form, and when there isn't another experienced option available. The coaching group are terrified for their jobs.
Outs:-
Murray

Butts
Smith

Dawson not in his best form? hahahahaha
He's currently sitting 3rd favourite for the Brownlow..
Never change Crows board, never change
Oh so now it's not about his form and is instead about the company he keeps?
Dawson is provably down on form compared to his All Australian year in metrics like turnovers and kicking. Wasn't even close to worst-in-the-league bad a few years ago.
Maybe put away the snide remarks if you are categorically wrong?
As long as you can admit you were wrong about Dawson not being in career form.Happy to take apologies this morning! Please form an orderly queue![]()
Bet they thought they were clever for a few minutes. As long as you can admit you were wrong about Dawson not being in career form.
Even he realizes he was in a slump.

Crows Captain opens up on how tough week helped spark form
Dawson was prolific against the Blueswww.afc.com.au
“Despite collecting 21 disposals last week, Dawson conceded his on-ground influence wasn’t where he wanted it to be and said it was important to return to strong form.
“I try not not to listen too much to the outside noise, but I think the past few weeks I haven’t been playing the way I want to play,” Dawson told AFC Media.”
Unbelievable, everyone on here loves Jordan and how he goes about it, but occams the only one I’ve seen that couldn’t see his output/impact was well down for 3 weeksBet they thought they were clever for a few minutes.
Pesky facts !!!
I wasn’t even going to make a post about it, but since you came out swinging you’ve kicked an own goal.
