They can use injuries as further excuses though. Nicks already did it to blame the start of last year.

They aren't sending a guy out there with a long history of knee issues without checking everything twice.

My point now really is why didn't they do the arthroscope weeks ago in the first instance? That would have saved a few of these 4-6 weeks coming up at a critical time of the season (although all times are critical for us).

They'll probably use Murray's injury as a convenient excuse and keep him on.

Because an arthroscope may not fix or find the issue. Murray has chronic knee problems that need to be managed career long. If he was scoped everytime there’s a minor twinge he’ll end up with a knee full of holes, arthritis and scar tissue and no time on the field.

Because, to me, the ladder doesn’t mean jack diddly squat at round 7 in 2025.

A better metric is something that takes into account who has played who and what is left to come …. Like this:

Just stated the fact - that after 7 rounds we are currently 5th on the ladder. Its a pretty negative vibe for a team that is currently sitting 5th out of 18 teams.

That's not the "fact" that you stated. What you actually stated was that currently sitting 5th on the ladders makes us the '5th best team in the competition'. You can at least be honest.
