Unfortunately Muzz out, Hinge out, and TT (injured and will likely struggle), Fog(doubtful) - does, however hurt our chances.
TT didn't look like he struggled when he came back on last week, he'll be fine.

Murray is a loss, especially if we pick Borlase in his place.

Hinge similar, but we do have cover... as long as that cover isn't B Smith

Crouch out for 4-6 weeks

I never like our players to be injured but.......

Now we had a whole back and forth on whether we are still playing injured players. You responded to another poster saying we weren't. I suggested Crouch and you stated "nope". I'm not sure where you got the idea that I thought you'd said he was hampered, because based on the convo, I clearly know that you don't reckon he's been hampered because you're stating that we no longer play injured players. Well, have a little look at the below from the AFC website. Do you now accept that we continue to play hampered players and Crouch is evidence of that???

Just a coincidence then that they said he had the same issue last Friday that caused him to miss a couple of rounds prior. You can’t be serious, your contacts are filling you full of the same crap that Trigg fed Jenny.

I didn't say he had an issue at all, I believe you've got that wrong. In fact I said he WASNT hampered at all, just not good enough. It was Jenny who said he was clearly hampered

Wouldn't be the first time you've falsely accused someone

I think Laird suggested yesterday Butts was pulled early from the SANFL game to ensure fresh to play afl

so,

out: Hinge, Murray, Crouch, Thilthorpe, O'Brien,

In: Edwards, Dowling, Cook, McAndrew, Ryan,

Could be a reprieve for a couple, including possibly ROB. E.g. Nank, Milera and Keane who haven't been playing well.

How the hell do both Crouch and Murray play with existing injuries, and end up missing weeks/months?

Terrible player management in this day and age.

You can bet your bottom dollar there's won't be any changes outside the forced ones.

This is what I would have:

Out: Murray (inj) Crouch (inj) Hinge (susp) Taylor (omit)
In: Butts/Borlase, Berry, FOG, Draper (Taylor sub)

We have more than enough of a small/medium forward presence in ANB/Rachele, and then have Rankine & Draper roam through up forward, up their CBA's and have Dawson take Hinge's position (Curtin could also feasibly cover this position too). It's clear without Hinge and Murray we're going to need an experienced head back there to settle things down.

Either that or pop Nankervis into Hinge's position, and bring Dawson back when needed. I just feel like structurally to go from Dawson attending 75% CBA's to zero would be far too much of an adjustment for the midfield.

On paper this doesn't make us look too bad. Clearly Crouch has been playing with an injury for some weeks and has been an actual liability (I noticed the lack of contested stuff from him in the Geelong game and last week), so Berry coming might actually be a bonus.

Unlike previous years we actually do have depth, evidenced by Crows SANFL performances so far.

I think Draper/Berry makes sense considering they played in the same midfield last week...

Either that or Draper goes to sub, and Taylor is used as that mid/fwd rotation

Edit: Surely we have given up on the Sholl experiment....

Another injury mismanagement by the looks

Not even shying away from it. So, not only did our midfield perform perfectly well against the Suns without him, they rushed him back and played him despite it being something he had to grind through. I understand Crouch's reason for coming back, he's putting himself ahead of the team, I don't understand how the selectors keep shooting themselves in the foot.

And oh yeah, trust in Burgess, he never gets anything wrong.
